HHI Restaurants

Once before I had gotten the name of a small seafood restaurant on HHI from the boards, I can't for the life of me remember the name and I am here now and would love to eat there again. It was a real hole in the wall with just a few tables, off the beaten path.

but if you are looking for a great seafood place in HHI that's kinda low-key, i'd suggest roastfish and cornbread:

the owner used to cook at the sea shack a few years ago (which could also be what you are thinking of - a hole in the wall) but he left to start his own place...

Probably not what you were looking for, but we always like to go to "Steamers Seafood", located in Coligny Plaza, when we stay there. We enjoy the atmosphere, and the food.

I'm betting the Sea Shack, too. Got a great flounder sandwich there a few weeks ago. My favorite meal of the week was the teriyaki steak at Frankie Bones - yum!

place to eat is Island Bistro, over in coligny plaza. small, not usually crowded, great food!

Hey, missy2217, leave some food at the Sea Shack for us! We arrive on Friday and love it there. What I was wondering, though, is how busy the Sea Shack and other places on Pope Ave are with the Heritage golf classic going on this week? When I talked to a person working at Palmetto Dunes, she said that the places just outside Sea Pines are extra-crowded this week. DH and I were planning to have to limit our resturant choices to places on the north side of the island, over by Hudson's and Boathouse. BTW, how long are you there until? Only a few more days for us!

We really loved Roastfish & cornbread last summer- delicious seafood!! Had a wonderful night at Dye's, too- is she still open?

We were there the last two years during the Heritage and it wasn't a problem.
