Checking in at HHI on Sunday. It will be me, DW and DS37 in a 2BR unit (hope we get a good water/marsh view unit).

Here is our dining plan -

Sunday - Dinner at San Miguels (this has become our fist night tradition)
Monday - Dinner at Salty Dog Cafe
Tuesday - Lunch at Mrs. Wilkes Boarding House in Savannah
Wednesday - Dinner at Catfish and Cornbread
Thursday - Dinner at Old Oyster Factory or Hudsons

Breakfast and Lunches will be in our unit (except for Tuesday).

Just curious - for anyone else down there next week, what are your dining plans? Maybe I'll see something interesting and change our plans.

I know we will eat out some but really not sure where all. I've already got some groceries like hot dogs, chips to have there. We will have hot dogs and hamburgers at least two nights. Since this is our first "real" trip of longer than 2 days and in summertime with more activities. We will probably try the low country broil there at the resort. I need to do a little more shopping and packing tomorrow so we can leave fri morning. I'm hoping to get there around 12 to 1p on friday. I'm taking notes of your restuarants since you have been there so often.

We just got back from HHI resort on Saturday after a wonderful week there. Ocean was so nice 76 degrees!
We ate at one hot mamma's twice a great value and really good barbecue! They have a Sunday brunch for 9.99 per person all you can eat. Not a huge buffet but very good with waffles and made to order omlets, pulled pork other items as well as their yummy coleslaw! we also ate at guiseppes , loved their pizza.
Love love love HHI resort:thumbsup2

I know it is pretty much a Hilton Head cliche at this point...but I can't help but love the Sea Shack...

We check in on June 8th. Trying two (maybe three) new places Skull Creek Boathouse, EB at Frankie Bones, any maybe lunch at Red Fish. Hitting all our other favs: Low County Backyard, Sea Shack, Harold's & prob San Miguel's.

So do lots of other people. We got the last table when we went off-season, off time. I can't imagine how busy it must get in the summer!

We got take out at both of these places. My husband had the worst fatty beef brisket of his life and the pizza was no good. Paulie's pizza was awesome!

Tried San Miguels tonight with it being so close to the resort and loved it!! Thanks for the suggestion. Loved the atmosphere of it. We really felt like our vacation had begun.

Have a fun week "Tink"!! We are counting down our days so I'm scouting out the boards for good tips. :)

We have been here since Saturday and we have had:
Big bamboo cafe in coligny shoppes
Guiseppi(spelling?) - loved the pizza
Crazy crab- great seafoood steamed buckets & hermit crab races for the kids starat 6pm
And last night we had San Miguels - great mexican with a disney discount

Tonight we're headed to the Salty Dog for their kidz dj dance party.

After those not sure what we'll get on our last 2 nights

We are going to try Robert Irvine's restuarant Eats which is right near the resort.

Please do tell us how you like it. That's one resturaunt I've been wanting to try. If you're not too full when done, take a walk over to Pino Gelato for some gelato. I love the pistachio gelato, but DH has tried other flavors and enjoys them all.

NY City Pizza has opened in Festival Center next to Publix (north end) and is quite large.
Giuseppi's at Shelter Cove Plaza has expanded and now boasts double the indoor seating and additional outdoor seating. Entertainment outside through the Summer.
Mi Tierra has renovated and updated. Nothing too extreme but an improvement.
Mangiamo's Has moved just a bit down Main St and is three times the size.
Longhorn's is closed near Palmetto Dunes but reopened at the newly renovated Tanger Outlets in Bluffton.
Olive Garden Has opened at the Tanger Outlets.

Cant wait to hear reports back!

I just did online check in! Woot!! :cool1:

I'm enjoying reading about these suggestions. We will be there during a very busy time, over the 4th, so I think we will also try cooking out sometimes as well.:goodvibes

We are here now.
Ate at:
San Miguels- good, fish tacos were not a hit with my inlaws...
