Is it difficult to get in during this time? I will call right at the 7-month mark. How is the weather? Am considering taking a break from WDW and would rather go to HHI instead of Vero to save on drive time (and if we are THAT close to Disney we will have to stop :tilt: )
Thanks

We have been to HHI twice in March. We called right at 7 months and requested a 2 bedroom each time. We have not had a problem booking HHI @ 7 months. Weather can be good (sunny and warm) or rainy. This past March was beautiful. Went to the beach, rode bikes, went on dolphin cruise, etc. Everyday was great!

Thanks for the reply. I will start calling next week and hope for good weather.

It has always been our tradition to go to HHI in March when schools here have spring break. Weather is very variable-one year it was sunny, beautiful, mid-upper 70s. One year it was windy, cold, and rainy all week-I don't think it got above 60 degrees. It's not too hard to get in March-one year we did an add-on a couple months before the trip so we decided to try to splurge and change our ressies there to a 1 BR (for the 2 of us). Even though there aren't many 1 BRs, we got one a couple months out for most of the nights, the last couple nights came thru pretty quickly.

We were there the last week of March this year & we thought the weather was perfect.

We are from New Hampshire, where at that time of year it had been overcast for a week plus, no flowers had stirred & it is windy up in our little piece of paradise!

Other DVCers there for that week thought it was not good weather.
Heck, we were glorying in the azaleas, palmettos & other greenery!
I think we had some sprinkles twice. It was nice enough for us to enjoy our balcony every morning & evening & that goes for DFIL, who is in his '70's.

We were told that the week of St Patrick's Day it rained much of the week.

We loved March. If it rains we will take another Savannah tour & tour Charleston as well. There is plenty to do, including sitting back & relaxing! :sunny:

I keep reading that folks thought the weather this last March was great. We were there the last week of March and thought the weather was a little too cold to really enjoy the beach for any length of time. Never rained but it was overcast alot. Now folks from the north may think it was great, but coming from the south we've decided from now on to go in either June (before the points change) or September. We only have 80 HH points but that is enough to get us 6 nights in a studio every year at that time.
