HHI in February?

Has anyone been to HHI in February? How's the weather? We're not swimmers, so it doesn't have to be that warm, just pleasant enough to ride bikes, walk around outside. We love the bike riding! Also, we're thinking of going 2/21-2/27; will it be busier then because of any school vacations or is it not a problem (for those of us who can only book at 7 mos.) because it's still kind of cool? Anyone who's been at that time?

Temps in late Feb will be in the 55-65 range at HH. The ocean will be too cool to swim, but the pools are heated and comfy if you should get a warmer-than-usual day.

There are still lots of activities available then and bike riding or long walks will certainly be comfortable.

Crowds will be small then. I'm sure you'll have a great trip!

I agree with WebmasterDoc about HHI in February. My family has been to HHI twice in the last four years. We love it! Try to take a drive to the city of Savannah. Great city with a lot of history to it, real good food!

Just to make sure you are aware of other options. There are numerous Marriott weeks for that time which you could get with any II deposit (non DVC) or likely pick up for less than the maint fees as a rental. The strolling and bike riding is better in Sea Pines anyway. There are even weeks at Heritage for Feb sitting there now which includes free golf for 2 each day. My understanding is even the exchanger gets it. You could book DVC then at the 60 day window see what's available with II. You could then likely trade studio points for a 2 BR and cancel your DVC reservation.
