HHI in early October

After reading the trip report on HHI, I really would like to go. What is it like in early to mid October? What are the air temperatures like and is it warm enough to swim in the ocean? Is the beach house still open and are there still plenty of activites for the little ones, or is that just for the summer?

We have been there in October and we had great weather. Daytime temps were mid to upper 70's and nighttime was high 50's to low 60's. Not sure if that is typical. The ocean was still warm, beach house pool temp seemed warmer than the one at the resort at that time.

There were just as many activities at the resort as the summer months. The beach was not as crowded as summer.

We'd love to go back in October sometime.

We were there last year during the first part of October. The beach was not crowded and still it was warm enough to "swim" at the ocean. We wore shorts most days and biked quite a bit. There were plenty of great activities going on at the resort and only seemed to be about 3 families enjoying all the activities. We'd love to always go in October, but this year - we're out of points! We were able to get reservations there at the 7 month mark without a problem in October too! I think you'll love it if you go! We literally had the beach house to ourselves the two times we went while we were there. My only complaint is that during the off season, the hours for Tide Me Over and Signals are pretty short - but that is understandable given the lack of guests to use them.
