HHI in August

Anyone had any luck getting HHI at the 7 month window for the first week of August, or am I just dreaming too big here. haha

We would like to go August 3rd for four nights in a 2 bedroom.

I know I need to call on January 3rd to try, but I am just wondering if this is near impossible or if I do have hope for it happening.

I can't answer your question on availability but I can give you some advice. Don't wait until MS opens on Jan 3. Use the website as it opens 1 hour before MS.

Last summer we stayed at HH for 5 nights, We have pts at HH but decided to go after the 7 month mark, about 6, it was the 2nd week of august and we were able to get a 2 BR unit for the entire stay... You never know

I have - weather is a little humid but starting to cool down.

I was hoping it may be better than WDW. We were there this year the first week of August and the heat and humidity was too much for me to be able to enjoy it. I guess we will see. Thanks for the heads up!

You could book the first part of your stay (that you don't need Disney points for) online at the 7 month window and then call and add on a day when MS opens- this guarantees you a room if they are available.

If that week is like this year, you might need to use wait list. Aug 3 was a Saturday this year and if you tried to reserve on Jan 3, you would have found the 2BR available for only 2 out of 5 nights during Aug 3 to 8 (Aug 4 through 6 were gone). Interesting is that the week before, July 27 to Aug 3 was available in all units except GVs at 7 months out and still available on Jan 3.

Wow....I wonder why? I know for us it has to do with my DD's summer job. She leaves for 2 months to work at a camp and isn't back until end of July, so the first week of August is the only week we can go because after that it is time to get ready for college.

Well I told them it was a 'long shot'. We went to WDW this year and it was just too hot to stand in lines, so we thought a beach trip might be nice, but Vero is so far and HHI appeals to us more (I like the idea of visiting Savannah). So I guess I will cross my fingers and hope for the best

BTW, do you know what time the online booking opens? I tried to look on the members website for when Member Services opens and I didn't see it. Thanks!
