HHI - free admission to Sea Pines?

I read somewhere that Disney HHI guests have unlimited access (fee-free) to Sea Pines Plantation. Other references to Sea Pines list a $5 gate fee. Can someone verify this for me?

Sorry, no admission to Sea Pines. Perhaps someone confused it with Palmetto Dunes? The parking pass you get at the Disney Resort allows you in to Palmetto Dunes, because that's where the Beach House is. There is not normally a fee for PD, just restricted access.

If you know a sea pines resident, they can get you access for the duration of your stay, as their guest. Thats the only free way i know of to get past the gates of sea pines.

No free pass to Sea Pines as far as I know...but the pass per car is not all that expensive and, frankly, once you have been there once, you've probably seen/done all you need to see/do. Unless you are playing golf there, of course.

It's $5 per day per can. The only resort I know that is outside Sea Pines and has access included is Marriott's Grande Ocean. Last I knew earlier this year, it was still $5 per day. Lots of nice bike paths and restaurants so it's nice to have access. But one should be able to get by with paying only one or two days and still get to enjoy what Sea Pines has to offer with minimal planning.

Is there a pass you can buy for more than one day that's any cheaper (like a "length of stay" ticket)? We're bird watchers and absolutely love the Sea Pines Forest Preserve. We were lucky enough to meet a nice DISer last time, but if we paid, would we have to pay $5 every day?

I don't believe there's a weekly pass or anything like that, if there was, I think I would have heard about. Maybe you could find someone who lives in Sea Pines and they could give you access for the week?
