HHI April wait list

We have gone to HH for the past nine years, mostly in the spring during our school break. Last year for the first time our school district had the week AFTER Easter off and we were shut out of HH when I called exactly at the 7 month mark. We ended up going in August. This year we have the week before Easter off, and when I called for the reservation right at the 7 month mark (4/17 for 5 nights in a two-bedroom), we were shut out again. I know Easter is very late this year, but I know many schools have the week after off. It looks like a number of us were wait listed for that week. Do you think we will get it? I was so disappointed, and did not think this would have been the case. I know more schools give off the week after Easter. Not sure what we should do. Thanks for any thoughts and input.

I can't give you any advice but we're right there with you. We're waitlisted at HHI for 4/20 and 4/21. I called right at 7 months and they didn't have anything for those dates. However, we did get 4/22-4/29 in a studio. Hope to see you there!

My daughters school has the week after off and I called right at 7 month mark and had no problems getting a 2br.
A lot can happen between now and april, good luck on your waitlists

We have off for spring break that same week.
I had enough HH points for 3 nights so I booked Tues, Wed, Thurs and called exactly at 7 months to book Sun & Mon. with BWV points.
No luck, waitlisted.
Happily the waitlist came through that night.
I guess people booked HH at 11 months and switched to WDW at 7 and it opened up the 2 bedroom I needed.
My brother and SIL messed up the dates and called a few days after 7 months for a 1 bedroom for the same dates and were waitlisted.
I really don't expect their waitlist to come through, 1 bedrooms are so hard to come by. A 2 bedoom I'd be more hopeful about. Good luck!

I called right at the 7 month mark for a 2 bedroom 4/17-4/22. Also week off of school for us.

We're limited to when we can go..my daughter is a senior so the week after Easter starts all her AP review classes since exams are usually the first few weeks in May. I keep hoping for the waitlist to come through..but not counting on it.

I was watching the DVC availability thread, and got really concerned when I saw that the week before Easter was booked up (I just assumed that more school districts gave off the week before because it included Passover). When I called for a 4/25-4/30 reservation the 2 Bdrm we wanted was available. We really didn't want to stay on Easter Sunday, but I asked because I was curious and that day was booked. Hope everyone's waitlist comes through.

See you there! We're coming in Good Friday and staying for a part of the following week. We wanted to come in earlier, but it was booked, but we also got through 4/29 at 7 months.

I am not hopeful for this week . . . very bummed that this is a second year in a row this is happening. Thought we were safe with it being the week before Easter. Simba's Mom . . . always love reading your posts about HHI, they were so helpful, especially those early years. Told Gordon this year that some time I hope that our paths cross and I get to meet you and also Doc. Nancy, I hear you about the vacation schedules . . . if your senior daughter is the eldest and you have other kids, it only gets worse. My second son is also a senior, and he too has 3 AP classes this year. My eldest is a college sophomore, and if we get to go this April it will be our first time going there without him. Everyone's vacation schedules and start / end of the school year are all different. We also have an 8th grade daughter . . . so this will continue. Fingers crossed for all for the wait lists!
