HHI and Fishing Charters....

So the kids and hubby decided that they are interested in trying a fishing trip when we go to HHI. I made an "entertainment" budget, but focused on all of the things we could do via the recreation desk at the resort...things like bicycle rental, dolphin tours, kayak trips, etc. My budget was $600 and I acquired that in Disney gift cards so now, I am stuck with booking "entertainment" through the resort. Does anyone happen to know if there is a fishing excursion that can be booked at the recreation desk? Since we leave at the end of the month, I don't think I will be able to come up with another $600 in cash to cover an "off-property" charter.

Unfortunately, I don't think they do it through their recreation department anymore. When we went the first time in '09, we were able to book a shark excursion at the recreation desk, but that was the only time. We now book through Shelter Cove Marina or Outside Hilton Head.

Actually when we went in Oct. they also didn't have the dolphin tour, said something about the captain being very ill. Bikes and kayaks are still there though. You might want to call the rec dept desk and see if they resumed the boat tours.
