We passed ROFR (YEAH!) on an OKW Feb UY contract with banked points that need to be used by 1/2013. Due to other plans in 2012 we were thinking of them @ HHI in the last week of July for a Sunday - Thursday studio. What do you think our chances are of availability?

Slim but still you should call and if it's not available, get on the waitlist.

We take a small trip to HH each March at the seven month window. Studios are really hard to come by, because most of the units are 2br. I just called to book this year's trip, and I could only find 3 days in early March. Brrr!! But warmer than here.

Another thought...Hilton Head must be pretty overbuilt, because there are tons of villas on the island for cheap rental rates. If you can't book at DVC, consider renting the points to someone else, and paying cash for something in Palmetto Dunes or Sea Pines, or what have you.

I think you have little chance of getting the dates that you hope for. Unfortunately I know from experience. I tried to get in for that time frame for 2 years in a row 2008 and 2009. Then i got frustrated and bought a small contract so we could get in with the 11 month window. Good luck
