According to the map in our member guidebooks, it appears that the studios at HH are quite a walk to the pool and other guest areas. It states that most studios are located in Bldg. 11. Is this the case?

Also, how do you get to the beach? Do we take a shuttle or do we drive? Does Disney own beachfront property for Disney guests or is it public access?

There are also some studios scattered about the resort. I think we were in Building 16 with a 1 bedroom, which was connected to a studio. HH is a fairly small resort--all buildings are just a small walk from everything at the resort.

We rode the shuttle to the beach, or you can drive--there is parking there, some under the building, and some in the lot. The beach house has its own pool, ping-pong tables, restrooms, etc. The beachhouse can only be accessed by room key. There is a walkway from the beach house to the beach, but the area in front of the beach house is public.

HH is a small resort and none of the studios are a far walk from the pool. Our first year there we stayed in the Lodge and really liked it.

Last year we rented bikes and let the kids (8 & 10) ride around the resort with their friend. They loved doing that. We also rode bikes out to the beach house. I probably wouldn't walk but the ride was fun and the shuttle works well too.

While most of the studios are in the main building, there is 1 studio each in Buildings 16, 18, 28, and I forget the others. Our studio in building #28 wasn't too far from the pool.

Just back from HH yesterday and our studio was in the main building. We liked that location. It was close to the laundry and the ice machine. I wouldn't of liked being in a studio anywhere else because of the ice and laundry being convenient.

The beach is about a mile and a 1/2 away. Disney has a shuttle that runs constantly back and forth all day until 5:00 p.m. If you drive over, get there before 10:00 a.m. We decided to drive over at 11:00 a.m. one day and the lot was already full, so we had to take our car back to the resort and catch the shuttle. If it had been cooler weather we would of rented bikes and took the bike path over, but we thought it was too muggy hot for riding bikes.

The walk to the resort pool was not that far. It's a pleasant walk with lots of pretty oak trees to look at (nice and shady).
