HH last week of May?

Hey all! Thinking about a trip last week of May 2008, and have some questions

1) Barring a cold snap, I'm sure the weather will be warm enough for pool swimming, but how's the ocean water the last week of May?
2) How hard to book at 7 mos out?

The Ocean should be quite warm enough for Swimming. In fact, you might be hoping that it is cool as it can get quite hot in late May and early June.

The Pools are open almost year round. When we were there in January, there were people in the Beach House Pool.

We just booked Thanksgiving Week 7 months out with no problems (other than not getting our Grand Villa...we had to do a 1 and a 2 room villa)

We were at HHI the last week of May last year. It was wonderful. We did have late afternoon showers which cleared quickly. The ocean was definitely warm enough, the weather was perfect. We were lucky enough to get a grandvilla at the 7th month mark. It was pure heaven, I loved it! We dined out every night and did not have much of a problem with waits at all. For us, it was the perfect time to be there.

Thanks for the responses. With ocean warm enough to swim, I'd say HH will be a must do for us in May 2008.

Patty, Wow! a grand villa at 7 mos! How wonderful. Since you liked that time of year for weather and non-crowded conditions, maybe we'll see you there next year Boy, now you have me thinking. I was planning to book a 2 BR, but darn it, you planted a bad, bad seed in my head with the grand villa . Off to go count my points - just this morning I was fantasizing about an add on at HH

One of the highlights for us at HH is the Tuesday night pool party and fireworks. That begin the first week of June. Your might want to check to see if they happen the week that you are talking about or wait a week.

Have all of 37 days to go until arrival at HHI. We had to wait list for the first week of June, but recieved a call within 48 hours. We have done WDW every year since June of 2003, twice in '05 and '06. This is our break from the madness. Would be great if the pool party and fireworks did start while we were there.
