We're considering going to HH during spring break next year. Have some questions. We live near South Padre Island, TX-wildest Spring Break location in US-please tell me HH is nothing like that. Also, how hard is it to get ressies at 7 months out for a studio at that time of year? And DH wants to play golf. Anyone with any experience with any golf courses on HH? Any info re that time of year would help.

I am thinking of doing the same thing next March during Spring Break. I would like to know how the weather is at that time of year and if most places (restaurants) are open.

We went to HH for spring break march 2001. The weather was cooler than I would have liked-mid 60's. We spent time at the pool, but used the towel as a blanket some days. The pool is heated, so the kids didn't complain. My DH played 2-3 of the courses Palmetto Dunes and some other, all great courses. HH is a nice town where people live with shopping, dining etc. all year. So I didn't notice any closings of restaurants, maybe just some more limited times they would be open. It would be hard for me to imagine that any wild college students would be there, since it seems very family oriented-the entire town, not just the Disney resort. It was a laid-back and restful vacation.

We had been to HH before in August 1999 and stayed at the Hyatt. August was HOT AND HUMID. March seems to be sort of the "off season" and we paid cash through CRO and got an INCREDIBLE rate with DC of $185 per night for a 2 bedroom. (DIRT CHEAP compared to the rack rate I paid for a 1 bed at Vero this year for spring break. All of my DVC points are spoken for-and I had almost NO chance of getting Vero at 7 mo--so an add on might be a good idea.....Oh well I digress. ) So, you might have luck at HH 7 mo out. but I understand that this resort has a lot of dedicated 2 bedroom units, so I have no idea how may studios they have. Hope this rambling message helps. Good luck. Gayle
