HH/How far in advance?

Am thinking (dreaming) of HH next year. How far in advance would I need to try and get ressies? Would like a 2 bedroom, late summer, early fall would be fine. No kids, just an old bag sister trip. What are the 2 bedrooms like?

If you want a 2BR, you can often find availability 7 months ahead. The studios, 1BRs and GVs go quickly over the summer months (thru Labor Day), but there are more 2BR villas and they won't usually reserve quite as quickly.

After Labor Day, the reservations do open up when school gets back in session - until around Thanksgiving, but even then, there will be some availability within 7 months.

Same answer as before as far as the 2BR - that will enhance your likelyhood if you call right at 7 months. However, Spring Break (February - April) is a busier time than early fall as HH is a family destination and that time period is very popular- regardless when Easter falls. I do think you'll be OK right at 7 months though.

what do you think about making reservations between May-August at a 7 month mark (Studio)? not gonna happen?

You can always try. It can happen, but is probably unlike. There are very few studios and 1BR at HH and Summer is High Season. I would try frist thing in the AM exactly 7 months prior to your stay. I would also call day by day.

We have our plane tickets into Savannah already ( FF first class). We will be staying somewhere around there and I will hope it is DVC's HHI.

We stayed last year's Spring break and thought it was great! Not as pretty as the summer, but less mosquitos too!
