HH - can we visit?

hi - we haven't stayed at HH yet but we plan to soon. We will be in HH next week staying elsewhere. Are we able to visit and see the resort even though we aren't staying there?

You can visit all Disney resorts without staying there.

We just returned from HH on Saturday, we were right next door to the Beach House. We visited the Disney resort and Beach House several times. You can access the quick serve at the Beach House from either the beach or road sides, but can't go inside or see the pool. You can bike or drive to the resort and walk around, visit the quick serve there and the gift shop. Both properties are gorgeous and worth the visit.

Absolutely! When you pull up to the main resort, there is a simple locking gate arm (similar to those at WDW resorts), and there you'll find a call box. Push the button to call the front desk, explain you want to come look around, and they'll buzz you in. I suggest checking in with the front desk as they're very helpful and friendly. While you likely won't be able to see a room, certainly you can walk around and get a feel for the resort. Do it in the morning, and you can get some freshly made Mickey waffles to go with your coffee.

We do it frequently, but, we live only 45 minutes from HHI. We make an excuse to go to the island, and, just have to stop in and buy a Mickey Premium. You can eat at the Grill at the Pool if you want. We have been shown Grand Villas several times when we were planning a family trip (didn't work out all the same). A lot of time, it depends on how busy they are and who is in charge that day.

No matter what, go by the check-in. In the afternoon, they have cookies...GOOD cookies.

And look for Mike the Pool guy. He knows more about Hilton Head than just about anyone.
