HH beach chair question

Hi! We closed Dec on our contract at VGF and have our first trip booked for July at HH. My question is about beach chairs at the beach. Are they provided or do we have to bring our own? I have been unable to find any info about this.

Thanks in advance! I have and continue to learn a ton about DVC from these boards.

There are beach chairs w and w/o umbrellas available to rent or you can bring your own.

There are always plenty of pool chairs at the Beach House pool or the resort pool when I've been.

As a tip, if you bring your own chairs and lots of kids toys, there is a pass through tunnel under the Beach House resort where the parking garage is. Even if you park out front and not in the parking garage, it is MUCH faster and easier to carry there rather than up the stairs and through the beach house pool area.

The beach chairs are not part of any DVC resort program - they are managed by the HH Beach Patrol. The HH lifeguards set up the chairs/umbrellas each morning, rent them out and take them down every afternoon. These rentals make up a significant part of the guards summer income.

The guards also rent sailboats, boogie boards, peddle boats, beach trikes, etc. in addition to the chairs/umbrellas.

As noted, many will bring their own chairs/umbrellas. Many will purchase inexpensive beach equipment at local grocery stores/Walmart and just leave them behind when they leave the resort.

Pool chairs are provided at the pools at both the Beach House and the Resort. All beaches at HH are public beaches and are not "owned" or controlled by any property owners. The HH resort Beach House provides parking for both resort guests and local beach access. The resort Beach House provides public rest rooms/showers for beach access as well as a walkup window to purchase food from the Beach House restaurant - although only resort guests have interior access to the Beach House and pool.

Want to say maybe $15.00 per day for 2 beach chairs, something like that..Saw a thread on this awhile ago. I thought somewhere on Dis I saw a pic and they are not even "lounge" chairs if I remember...Almost just like small sand chairs...Use the search function on here, maybe you'll stumble on the threads...
If you are driving, many bring their own chairs..
I have heard that for folks who fly instead of paying that, many just buy chairs at Walmart or Publix instead of renting...Some say that they give it to guests coming in at the end of their stay...Cheaper that way instead of renting....If you have four in your family, probably something like $30 per day.

Just a word of warning. We purchased chairs and an umbrella to bring with us on our last trip in September. The wind on the beach was so crazy that we never got the umbrella to stay in the sand. We rented from that day on since they have their umbrellas VERY well secured if there's wind.

Notice that they give a discount for consecutive days! Maybe we'll wind up just doing that! Certainly don't want to purchase umbrella and not be able to use it! Looking forward to it!

We are heading to HH this summer too and I was wondering if you really find there is a need to rent chairs for the whole family - do kids actually use them/need them? And do you have to get there early to rent or if you show a bit late is there any chance of getting a rental?

There were plenty throughout the whole day.

I bring my own but just have them for he adults. The kids don't stop playing to sit down and relax lol.

If anyone has a other use for it, we purchased one of those 15 foot square tents (don't know how else to describe them) and out it up on the beach. Lots of people had them and it was amazing. It was about $50 at Walmart, so could be cheaper. But it gave us a ton of shade and space. It was super secure. We will use it for softball and soccer on the sidelines throughout the year, so it was a good purchase for us.
