Hilton Head's Christmas week is Choice, while at Vero Beach it is Premier. Why? Isn't the temperature about the same?

Would Hilton Head not be a good place to visit at Christmas (versus Vero Beach)?

BTW - do either of these resorts have a Disney feel to them like the WDW DVC properties do? Thanks! :sunny:

The temps are not the same. Vero Beach is roughly the beginning of the tropics in Florida. The gulfstream offshore keeps the water temperatures from ever getting extremely cold.

For fun, I checked the temps last 12/25 in both resorts. HHI was 66 -- not bad. Vero was 81.

Vero is also a traditional Florida resort area where prime tourist season is winter. HHI, while enjoyable in winter, is more of a 3-season tourist resort.

I'm not that familiar with HHI, but Vero is very Disney in the high-quality of the accomodations and CMs. There are Disney "touches", hidden Mickey's, towels animals, etc. but there are no theme parks nearby.

High season starting about North Central FL is Xmas to Easter. For HH low season is Nov to March excluding to a degree Thanksgiving, Xmas and Easter.

Also at HHI, during December the average low will be in the 30's so it definitely affects the water temps. Plus Vero Beach is almost 500 miles further South.
