HH activities-- included or extra?

Are there fees for activities such as the "unbirthday party" and other kiddie fun things that I read about at Hilton Head?

Many of the kids' activities are free of charge such as the campfire, Blue the Magician, and I believe the unbirthday party falls into this category as well. We were there at the beginning of this month and they had a birthday party for the resort (5years) complete with cake, lemonade, prizes, face painting and goodie bags all free of charge. The "major" activities, such as horseback riding, kayaking, dolphin cruise, etc. will cost you, however. Have fun!

We went around Halloween. They had pumpkin painting for $5, Goyku for $10 ( the dead fish tshirts, they're cool!), and I'm not sure what else. If some of the items require reservations, make sure you make them. We didn't for the unbirthday party (free) and neither did anyone else so they cancelled it. The nature tours with the staff naturalist were free and very interesting. The evening activities were free unless specified. The cooking classes had a charge, but the twice a week coffees in the Grand Villa were free. We own at Boardwalk, but my wife is in love with HH, and me since I took her there.

The "major" activities all require a fee. However, the free activities are truly fun and your kids should enjoy them. Mine certainly did last month, even with the weather not being necessarily cooperative.

We just got back from Vero 2 weeks ago.

Many of the activities are free. Sporting events, games, bubbles, various contests, beach walk, unbirthday party, campfire, were all free.

Examples of activities that had a fee involved are:

Cell Painting ($10) - and totally worth it - my nephews painted a Mickey and Minnie animation cell and that goes on top of a background scene that can be framed. It was very cool - I wish I had done it with them.

The fish T-shirt thing described above - the kids get to paint their own shirt - you pay a small fee for the shirt.

Manatee Adventure, Kayak Tour, WaveRunner Tour - these were all around $25-$35 per person but lasted several hours and sometimes included lunch.

You can rent movies for free, play mini-golf for $1 and also rent bikes, boogie boards, etc. for a small fee.

My nephews did a ton of stuff and only paid for 1 or 2 activities.

I was just wondering what the unbirthday party is?

If Vero and HH has them do the other Disney resorts have them as well?

There is just so much I need to learn.

The "unbirthday party" is hosted midweek and is intended to celebrate the other 364 days of the year that are not your birthday. It is a cute concept for the kids.

At Vero you dropped the kids off and were instructed to come back in 1 hour to get them (no big people allowed!). According to the kids, they did musical chairs, decorated cupcakes, hopped around on one foot to music and took turns (youngest to oldest) hitting a pinata. My daughter, nephews, and neice really seemed to have had a good time and I would bring them again in a heartbeat.

At Vero, the community hall where this was held is right by the pool so we stuck close by and just relaxed on lounge chairs for the hour. It was a peaceful hour not having to keep such a close eye and play lifeguard to our little ones.

Just wondering since we were there in February and I don't remember getting an activity sheet like we did in Vero Beach. My kids loved the campfire and unbirthday party.
