HH 2 bedroom booking- fast or typically available after 7 month window?

I have not used my points yet. I'm wondering how quickly the 2 BR HH villas book in mid summer (non-holiday week) after the 7 month non-home resort window opens up? How many units are there?
Do the 1BR book quicker?

HH has 123 villas maximum. 76 are dedicated 2BRs, 21 are lock-off 2BRs (usually available only as Studios and 1BRs unless needed as a HCA 2BR) and 5 GVs.

2BR villas are the last to be completely reserved. Studios typically disappear first, followed by GVs and 1BRs - especially during the peak summer season, but also during Spring Break and Thanksgiving periods.

Even with a 2BR for mid summer you will still need to go online first thing of the 7 month window. It may be difficult to get a full week.

I have never had a problem getting a 2BR at 7 months. But then we don't typically book during the peak Summer period. We typically go late Spring or early Fall. Now I have had problems getting both Studios and 1BR's at 7 months. We only have enough points to get a Studio once a year, so I typically book the Studio first and then try to change to a 1BR at 7 months. If I can't I get the 1BR we try for a 2BR. We had to do that for 2015 and unfortunately it looks like the extra BR will be wasted.

I rented points to get my mid summer two bedroom reservation - and then rented out my own points. And it was a good thing I did - someone posted that they were unable to get a reservation for the week I had booked BEFORE the seven month window opened.

Most HHI owners own for a very few periods of time - and Summer is one of them. When you have all the owners going for the same probably 20 weeks a year (The good news is that for 30 weeks a year availability is easy), you get spotty availability at seven months during those weeks.

You can book seven days from the first day of your reservation. There may be holes in your reservation if the resort is completely booked by members who own there when the seven month window opens.

FWIW, if you don't get everything you want initially, I've had good luck with wait listing at HH.
