We have a 1 BR condo booked at the HGVC Seaworld. On my reservation,I requested a location close to the main pool with a nice pool/lake view. On my confirmation,it says I can pay an extra $5-$10 per night and get my requests if they are available when I check in.I would not have to pay the extra if they could not meet my requests.I was just hoping they would try to accommodate me if possible without having to pay more.I have never had to do this at a Hilton or Marriott before. I know you have to pay extra at Disney for a preferred room.
Should I just pay the extra,or hope for the best when I check in?:confused3
Has anyone had to deal with this before at this location?
I am trying to be frugal, but I really want a nice water view.

When are you going? I am thinking if it's a busy time of the year, the chances of that type of room being available are unlikely.

We were there last week (very busy), and paid the extra to be close to the pool, water view, and high floor. It was important to me to be close to the main pool as I know some the buildings are pretty far out there.

If it's going to affect your stay to not get view you are wishing for, then pay the extra.

Enjoy your stay - we had an awesome time!! :cool1:

Hi,again.Yes-very busy time-Memorial Day weekend.
Do I need to pay for both the pool/lake view and close proximity to main pool? I thought if I just paid for the proximity, that might assure me of the view,also.hmmmm...

I pulled out my original reservation to make sure I give you good info!!

I paid extra for the following, and they were separate requests (amounts):

Requested Xtra Offer(s) Extra Total for the stay
Pool or Lake View $5 per night $10
Easy Access to Main Pool $5 per night $10 :

I thought I paid extra for the high floor (??? :confused3), but I guess I did not, but I did get the 6th floor, which is what I wanted.

Hope this helps.

Yes-that does help!:thumbsup2
Which building were you in,Cinjam? Did you enjoy your view? Was your unit renovated?
Thanks,again!

We were in Building #2 - Hamilton Building, room #2605 - excellent location.

We had very very good views of both the main pool and lake w/fountain.

I am not sure which rooms have been renovated yet. So I am not sure if mine was. I have to say the tile in the kitchen did not look new - lots of dings in the tile. But, the rest of the unit was quite nice. Carpets, furnishings, bath, washer & dryer, were in good shape!

How do you know which have been renovated recently?

Hey! I am not sure-thought I read somewhere that there had been some upgrading done at this resort. I have read a ton about the place-I could easily be mistaken!
I do think the Hamilton bldg. is the one I would like-I think I will pay for some of those upgrades and hope for the best.
Thank you-you have been so helpful!:goodvibes

Welcome! I love talking about it - helps ease the vacation withdrawal pains :goodvibes
