I'm guessin' you might spend a wee bit more time in Illinois than Florida.

Those are the delicious fruit of the abelmoschus esculentus plant, AKA: okra pods. The particular cultivar shown in my avatar is known as "Silver Queen". Yum, yum, yum.

I had no idea what it was either. I even tried turning my head right and left thinking I wasn't look at the right angle. So don't feel bad.

And I hate okra, too. It's the only vegetable I can say, whole heartedly, that I hate.

I'll take a platter of brussel sprouts and lima beans over okra any day!! (Love Lima Beans!!)
