Hey you!, newbie! get schooled on how this Diney thing works, how the fast pass works, get a plan, get a skeem, get something or your fun factor is going to tank!! cause guess what? alot of others do, and you will get left standing in line

I know return you you to your regularly scheduled forum

DH and I are both mellow can have fun most places we go, we thought we had done enough homework and are on our way to Fort.We still have days of driving before we arrive. After reading another post about the stroms in FL I just realized I forgot to find out about strom shelters in case of tornatos. So anyone know where we are to go?Is it wheelchair friendly?

We have had to bug out of campgrounds do to wildfire before and always bring fire extingishers with us(Yup, we were they weird ones who foamed the outside of our RV for the drive out but we also got out safely).Since I have time at night and at stops to climb on the web tell me if you think there is something I might have missed going through the guide books and web site, Please tell me!

DH and I are pretty content with spending our time with rod and reel. Our kids love to fish but will want to wander over to see the animals.

I have our food onboard the RV so we only buy a few snacks(kids have food/feeding issues) so no need for ADRs.

We are camping our way there and back from AZ.We shipped our shuttle van ahead so we will have it in FL to get around. Also shipped supples to my boss who lives in Orlando so we could pick them up at her office rather than shipping to Fort.

Your advice is welcome, Please.

330ish days until I return to Disney... The last time I was there, in March of 2010, we just winged it. We only spent 3 nights at disney. 2 days in the park. We kinda filled the empty days of our trip with Disney... loved it so much we want to return. This time at the Fort.

Anyways, you can see that its just under a year away and I am planning like mad... We did not have a bad time at disney the last time we went, in fact, we had a blast... but we were lost, knew nothing of the crowds, the special event times and the difficulties of finding everything.

:surfweb:
I'm planning every day out in advance, not a set schedule, but if we want to do certain things, this is the route we need to take with this type of schedule.

Plan plan plan, so your not kicking yourself in the rear. I never like to be disappointed. I know I never want my family disappointed either, so I come prepaired.

:rolleyes1 so, do the campsites come with towells? :rolleyes1

No plan'n, no nutt'n,
I usually go brain dead., works for me.

but brain dead is pretty easy for me. :lmao:

I can handle brain dead too. Bad weather shelters are considered the Comfort Stations. I don't know whether they are rated as tornado proof, but they are the hardiest things readily available for the masses. I don't know about the other structures at the Fort like the Outpost, Pioneer Hall, and the Trading posts. Anyone else have a thought?

They are still around, so where ever I was standing at the time, I would duck in any building.

Our first on property WDW visit was in December 1991. We did no planning except for making reservations. I got to tell you the spontaneity and learning as you go was the most fun we ever had. I know times are different and you have to have ADRs. But, I think over planning takes some of the fun out of a vacation.

Unfortunately or fortunately, it depends upon the time of day, I am a planner. I plan, pack, cook, and do it all over again, and again, and again. We you get the picture. However, I don't plan what we do each day that we are at WDW. We do whatever we want and just relax and have fun. I think the overplanning for the trip itself is good, but just have fun once you arrive.
