Hey you cat lovers...what do you think about this combo?

My neighbor's friend has a litter of half persian and half Maine coon cat kittens. She is giving them away for free!!! I can't wait until they are ready. With the combination of those two breeds of cats, these babies should be gorgeous! Has anyone ever owned a Maine coon? Do they really get as big as bob-cats?

We had a Maine Coon, and she was big, but not HUGE! She was very sweet, too. We have a persian now, and she just keeps us laughing--what a personality!

I've never owned a Maine Coon Cat, but I hear they are great cats and highly intelligent. Sounds like a great combo. Beauty and brains.

I bet the kittens are beautiful. We have a persian and a himalayan. I think that combo would be great.

I have two mix Maine Coons... both take after the Coon side and look nearly nothing like the other parent. One is a smaller end of 10 pounds (still large for a cat) but the other is 15 pounds (not fat, massive). They are both the sweetest most loving girls in the world. Very very intelligent too!!! Active as well. Not good for a small apartment in my eyes.

I am not quite so positive on Persians though. I know many love them but that isn'ta breed I would seek out myself. I hope that your kitty will have the health of the Coon and not the Persian

I have 2 Maine Coons and they are by far the sweetest cats I have ever had. Very big and very gentle. Also playful. The combination should be stunning.

We have a Maine Coon and he is absolutely wonderful! He is the best cat I have ever had (no offense to the other kitties, lol). He is just so cuddly, and fun to play with. Recently we've started playing football- I kick or throw a cloth football and he chases it and attacks it. He has lots of energy and gets into everything. He is a big cat, not real tall but very long and stocky (about 15 lbs). He sleeps with us every day (we work nights) and is just a great joy. I bet those kitties will be beautiful. I am sold on the MC's, will definitely get another as our next cat.
