Hey - Visiting from the UK

Hey guys. In October I'm visiting Disneyland Paris for the 6th time and as great as it is, I recently had the idea that next year I should visit the place where it all began, the original Disneyland Park. What is the easiest way to book the adventure from the UK? Thanks for your help.

We book our flights through a travel agent, buy our tickets online (you just print them out and use them to check in at the gates) and book our own hotel. You could probably do all that through a travel agent but I tend to find better deals on my own. Hope that helps!

Im going next september and plan on booking everything myself. Booking flights direct with virgin atlantic who are offering fares from £358 atm but you can only book upto 11 months in advance, then plan on booking hotels myself and getting the Southern california city pass which includes a 3 day park hopper for Disney

Thanks, that's brilliant advice. I'm gonna research the So. Cal pass right now. A week or 2 in the Californian sun sounds sooooo good after this sorry excuse for a summer.

yes this summer we are having is awful, just makes you miserable and want to get away.

Are you thinking about just going for Disney?
My and my boyfriend are planning 6 nights in Anaheim for Disney, local beaches, time to relax by the pool then 4 or 5 nights in Las Vegas somehwere i've always wanted to visit, so thought i'd take the oppertunity while im close by, then 3 nights in San Diego and last 2 or 3 nights in Hollywood to do Universal and the sights there All hotels, internal flights, return flights from the UK to LA, So Cal citypass is coming upto about £1700-£1900 for the both of us

I'm thinking that a lot of overtime will be coming my way (starting in the morning with a 4.30am start! On a Saturday!)
I'd actually like to go to Nashville and Memphis *** I'm a huge country music fan. That's why I'm staying at the Hotel Cheyenne again in October....

You'll love Disneyland in Anaheim. I was in Paris Disneyland last year - and while I loved it in comparison to WDW and DL in the USA, there are a few things you'll have in the original Disneyland park that you won't get in Paris':

• Water rides
• Fireworks every night
• Electrical parade (unlike Paris' Fantillusion, which is only very short, very peak seasons)
• Fantasmic (better than WDW's)
• Touches of antiquity, like 150+ year-old gas lamps on Main Street that Walt imported from Baltimore - still running on gas!

Book your hotel through www.disneyland.com, get your passes in advance through them as well (online advance discount) and do your flights through whatever means you normally book your flights. That would be the easiest way to go.

I went to the Grand ole Opery in Nashvile last year, and so much fun ! I have also visited beale st in Memphis, it was nice, but more for the food ! Memphis I associate much more with the blues.
