Hey! there's upchuck on my foot!

Who cleans the carpet when the dog throws up?

  • The person who finds it cleans it up

  • The person who finds it pretends they don't see it and hopes someone else will clean it up

  • The person who finds it calls his wife to clean it up

  • The person who finds it calls her hubby to clean it up

  • The person who finds it puts a box over it and declares it toxic waste, but refuses to clean it up

  • I would rather replace the carpet that clean up vomit

I'm a guy so here is the deal.

I work midnights so I am sleeping while my wife and daughter are at school and work.

I do sleep with someone however, my little shi tzu. He loves to cuddle with me and he is actually on my sleep schedule.

Last week I heard this weird noise and I woke up to him throwing up all over my bed. I was only sleeping for about two hours.

I cleaned it up and put him in the kitchen and went back to bed. My wife is a clean freak so if I didn't do a spotless job she would have had a fit. Also, I just got brand new carpets last summer so I was making sure it was all up.

What a mess.

We have cats and only found puke once. My DH and I both came in the door at the same time. Of course he just said "Eww" and stepped over it. So I had to clean it up.

Sadly, I'm in charge of all puke related "incidents" at our house, cats and kids! My DH will start to gag if he even sees it......while I'm pretty sure that he is shamming I don't want to be cleaning up cat and DH puke!

Ok, minkydog, I think you jinxed me. Got home last night and dd says, "Oh, yeah, the dog threw up today." It was on the tiled part of the dining room so she left it for me with a box over it! :rotfl: :rotfl:

I told you they all wait for me to clean it up!

a juvenile DIS-er perhaps :rotfl:

Unless I am in the middle of doing something else where I do not have time to clean, I will do it myself. Once in a while I will call my DH to do it (again I am busy) but normally if you find it, you clean it :) Since we have two long haired cats, cleaning it up is hardly a big deal to either of us now.

Can't help ya' here, but if it is cat upchuck, send in the dog, he will handle the situation. :dog2:

Thats a visual I didn't need!

I answered pretend it wasn't seen and let someone else clean it because that is what my kids will do. They will step over it, put paper towels on top of it, everything but actually clean it up. Dh will clean it as soon as he sees it and so will I.
