I was just listening to the pod cast and thought it was awesome you gave a plug for your neice's Tastefully Simple business. I have tried several of their products. The soups are awesome, the beer bread, the dip mixes and so on. I know you don't drink anymore but they used to have frozen drink mixes that you add liquor to and mix and freeze, they are awesome! I was going to sign up to sell their products last year but found something else. I found a fairly new company called Dove Chocolate Discoveries. They do chocolate tasting parties. They are awesome! Anyway I hope your neice does well with Tastefully Simple, they have a great product!

Dove chocolates is amazing!! A friend of mine sold it and I contemplated signing up with them first, but unfortunate events happened and I felt that TS sells itself a little easier and would be easier on me.
Also, the alcoholic mixes can actually be made NON alcoholic! :dance3: I donated a basket to the GKTW fundraiser on July 2nd and I put the Margarita mix in it because it can be made non alcoholic.
My new obsession right now is the Summer Collections, I LOVE the watermelon margarita and the creamy cucumber mix. Too bad it's only available until the end of July  I'm stocking up!
Send me a PM with your link so I can go order my white chocolate bars when i'm done with mine.

You brought up a good point about using direct sales products to help raise money for charities. I have dontated a lot of chocolate products to various organizations in my area. I have also hosted a jewerly for a cause party with Lia Sofia that I used the "free dollars" I earned off the party sales to purchase jewerly for a battered womens shelter. That would be a great thing for Pete to mention on the podcast to challenge direct sellers to raise money for GKTW.

oh and by the way..the pomegranate chipotle sauce rocks!!! Love it on grilled chicken.

OMG, LOVE LOVE LOVE Garlic Garlic Dip served with Beer Bread! YUM! And the Key Lime Cheeseball. Everything from Tastefully Simple is very good! Now I'm hungry, darn it!

Tastefully Simple is awesome! I am looking for a new consultant and will use your niece Pete. I highly recommend the Almond Pound Cake. Really easy to make, I usually make it into cupcakes for parties and everyone LOVES them. Also the Bacon Bacon dip is really good! I also use the Balsamic Dipping Oil to sautee veggies on the skillet. And the potato cheddar soup is a good base for cream of crab soup, just add crab meat and old bay seasoning.

I love it too!! The parties are so much fun!!! The beer bread is the best!! It does work best with regular beer.

I LOVE the Absolutely Almond Pound Cake:lovestruc! It is great for strawberry shortcake or trifle or just on its own. We also love the muffins you were eating on the show, and I put the garlic garlic and onion onion in for seasoning almost daily.

My mother in law used to sell this and can I just say I could LIVE off of the beer bread and both garlic garlic and onion onion dips. UGH now I want some!

All the products are awesome!! I can't have the almond pound cake, I'm allergic (not deathly obviously)
Tara (new england GKTW coordinator) and I were talking about doing a TS Bingo but also doing a GKTW online fundraiser!! I'm working out the details and making sure with Pete that I can post the link. Just waiting for the answer since it's under his name lol. Although all products get directly shipped so he doesnt have to worry about anything ;):)
I love seeing how many people love tastefully simple products!

I am so excited for this Amy!! I think an online GKTW fundraiser with home parties is a great idea. Maybe we can do like a Chirstmas Fair in October too where everyone who has a Direct Sale type job or makes a prooduct at home can have a show open in October so we can all do some Christmas Shopping and raise more money for GKTW.

I MUST look more into this Chocolate you speak of!!

I, too, love TS!!! I have a local consultant I have used for years, however if your niece set up a GKTW fundraiser (like a % of the proceeds went to the charity for a set period), I would definitely buy a few things from her also!

How come Pete can't have any of the Spinach products? I love the spinach dips! And don't knock those cheeseballs!! Oh my gosh, they are like mini cheesecakes. Order them with the little twisty graham pretzel things!

Pete hates spinach. I like the spinach herb mix as a spice/flavor addition to many of my casseroles.

Love the Key Lime cheeseball with pretzels a Fantastic!
combination of sweet and salty.

The Twist of Lime margarita mix sounds good but it says to add beer & tequila ... strange :confused3

If you ladies organize this COUNT ME IN! I am a distributor for Mia Bella Candles. Paraffin free, no soot...they're wonderful! I would love to do a "vendor" type online fundraiser for GKTW. October is perfect for Christmas shopping! GREAT IDEA!!!:woohoo:

I actually even thought of a Tastefully Simple-Disney connection. The quick-cooking, low-ingredient approach would be perfect for a family vacationing in a villa or DVC at Disney World. I don't usually do processed/pre-made food, but a one-ingredient muffin or brownie mix that is still baked fresh (and tasty) could be very handy in a vacation kitchen.

I would so be in for a vendor event for GKTW!
