Hey everyone, if you can stream online at work or at home there's going to be a performance of Verdi's Macbeth on France Vivace. Go to THIS SITE and scroll down 'til you reach 10:00 am EDT and look for France Vivace and then look for this: 64K WMP 9 (on the gold colored bar) and click on it. Happy listening. :teet

Thanks CCT! Love Opera! Macbeth isn't my favorite but at least it isn't Wagner!

Heck! Did you see there is a webcast of Cosi at 2:00 P.M.?!? I'll have to reschedule a meeting!

You don't like Wagner? A little to heavy? I can't always stomach it myself.

Wagner has some wonderful moments and horrible half hours.

I like Rossini's quote: “One can't judge Wagner's opera Lohengrin after a first hearing, and I certainly don't intend to hear it a second time”

Actually, I didn't see that one...thaks for pointing it out. I'm going to have to remember to listen to that.

This is just to funny. I like this quote. I'll have to remember it.

I had forgotten about the operacast site before you posted this yesterday. What a great site. Today's list includes an obscure opera by Salieri, Beethoven's 9th and Figaro. Tomorrow there is a LOT of Wagner (I guess there'd have to be). All of those radio stations linked to have a lot of other great classicl music on them when they are done with opera!!!

It's a great site isn't it? I'm glad I had the chance to re-introduce you to the site. I didn't see that opera by Salieri, I did a quick glance and must not have seen it. And as for Wagner, I'll be missing it. I usually don't listen to it on the weekends...just during the work day.
