Hey!! New Escape Bride!

Hi all!! Just signed up after stumbling across this whilst looking into Disney Weddings!! My name is Lindsay and my partner is Kyle and we live in the UK!!Been together since we were 13 (now 21)!!!We both LOVE disney so when he asked me to marry him we knew it would have to be disney!Just have birth to our daughter Mya only 10 weeks ago so I can start planning!We are hoping for a Escape Wedding at Sea Brezze point in October 2011!!Probably a bit early to start planning esp since I change my mind about three times a day but heyho!Ive got a couple of questions Im hoping someone could help answer for me -
*Can I have a Disney wedding if I book my holiday with a travel agent? we are planning on staying at disney but its just easier to book through our travel agent as its my sister!!
*How easy is it to add extras onto an escpae wedding e.g. characters etc.?
* We both love the 'Dapper Dans' would it be possible to have them sing and if so, anyone got an idea of possible costs?

Sorry for all the questions - Im just sooo excited and I cant wait for our daughter to experience her first disneyworld trip!!

Yes you can book your holiday with your travel agent and yes you can add things to an escape wedding and its really easy.

You can do it either way - book it all through a travel agent or book your holiday through the agent and your DFTW through Disney. I think a lot of UK brides have found it better to do the latter, and I have certainly booked my holiday and my big day (I am a VR bride) seperately.
As Claire said, it is really easy to add on the things you asked about - your planner will go through this with you.
Dapper Dans do sing at weddings, but for that to happen, you would have to have a seperate catered reception (or were you thinking of having them at the ceremony?). If you have a private catered event attached to your Escape package (eg. reception or DP), you must spend a minimum of $7500.00 on your Escape event. I am sorry, but I don't know how much the Dapper Dans cost (maybe Carrie can help??), but I think they are quite expensive.

We've booked ours via travel agent & found most people involved are making it all as easy as possible.

also it's never too early to start planning lol - I've been planning our wedding in my head since feb 2010 and we're getting married this october

if you haven't found this already, you will find TONS of info in carrie's book! Passporter's Guide to Disney Weddings and Honeymoons is available in hardcover but instantly available in ebook format (and you can get it updated) - you will find so much specific info there as well as stuff here on the boards!
