We just booked a trip in July on American for $150 RT; travel on Sat or Mon-Thurs, stay over a Saturday night, valid all of July and August. Going to stay at the Beach Club Villas!!
We were able to book RT on Delta for $153 each. Leaving 11/29 and returning 12/7. (Didn't like the times or long layovers for our dates on AA).
I gave up waiting on NWA about a week ago and am glad I did. In this morning's paper, there was an article about NWA plans to lay off 40 pilots and reduce its fall capacity. It appears to me that they are not going to be discounting much at all out of MSP - their strategy seems to be to match capacity to demand. That means those of us who want RT non-stop service for around $200 (+or - $25) are not their target market. Since NWA is probably the only airline with a solid cash reserve (they don't need or qualify for federal funds), I don't doubt that this strategy is good for their stockholders. But that doesn't keep me from wishing for lower leisure fares and more competion at the MSP airport.
That said, I'm very pleased with the $153 fare on Delta. They even let me choose my seats, the flight times are good for us and the layovers are reasonable. We do have to leave two days earlier than planned, darn it! Not sure what we will do with our extra days. Right now , I'm leaning toward a visit to Cypress Gardens. It appears they have a 4 million holiday light display and some beautiful poinsetta displays.
Hope everyone gets fares they are happy with and has a wonderful trip!
I received an email from Travelocity about $122 fare from MSP to MCO but by the time I checked on it (the same day) it was gone. Did anyone get this fare?

The fare quotes that come from Travelocity via email do not include:
- airport facility charges (ranging from USD 2.00-18.00)
- federal segment fees (USD 3.00 per segment, defined as a takeoff and landing)
- September 11th Security Fee of $2.50 for each enplanement that originates at a U.S. airport, up to a maximum of $5 per one way or $10 per round trip
By the time those are added to the fare quote, you get a fare of $145.50 - $154 RT (depending on the connecting airport). So yes, quite a few people were able to get that fare. Sorry it was gone before you could take advantage of it. Hope you find something good soon.
that was the fare that we got 145.50 total. 99.83 for the ticket and the rest in fees is how the reciept printed up. I think they only offered it for the one day.
