I'm trying to quit smoking -- took my first dose of Wellbutrin today -- quit date is targeted for a week from today (or September 1st, whichever seems to work better).

Wish me luck!

Oh, and the meds say not to drink (bah!), so you guys may need to have a couple extra each day for me!

That's great! I smoked for 15 years (1-1.5packs/day). It was 6 years ago last week that I quit. The first two weeks are probably the hardest, but stick to your guns and it'll get easier. It's so worth it. I feel so much better since I quit. Don't hesitate to ask if you need some encouragement. Oh, and if you feel the need to scream at someone during a craving, we won't mind.

By the way, you can have DIS drinks. They don't count.

Thanks. I actually saw your post when I did a search on smoking. I'm really looking forward to being smoke free (and then nagging DBF to quit! ) before my vacation in November.

Good luck, my dad used Wellbutrin to quit and it helped him. You can stop in here for a virtual drink anytime!
