Jimmy Buffet has his first number one record ever! "License to Chill" sold over 238,000 copies in its first week of release (one to me, LOL).
Part of it is probably the country fans since there are a lot of duets with country stars, but as far as I"m concerned it just keeps me in cruise mode!

I just bought mine yesterday. I'm not a country fan, (at least that's what I tell myself), but I love Jimmy.
The album's great! I told my mom about it, (she's a big country fan), and I'm going to buy a copy for her. She said she'd never heard of him before!
Jimmy's always done well, but I'm glad to see he's being more recognized.

Yes, Jimmy is always good...got free tickets to the License to Chill tour when he was in Atlanta...it was AWESOME! We have 8 people going on the Eastern on Saturday...no kids! We have entitled the vacation:

Free Tickets to a JB concert??? Jow cool for you!!

Up to 2 years ago we went every year to Camden NJ concert but 2 years ago he went down to one show and now the tix are hard to get and very $$$. This past June lawn seats were going for like $75 each.....and they jam soooo many people in there. Hopefully I will get back again.... We talked about chartering a boat and listening from the Delaware River.

Love his concerts!!!

Buffet fan here too!!! I will always remember my time on Castaway Cay last October with my best friend drinking Konk coolers and Jimmy buffet playing on the beach........ Wish I was there right now!!!!!!

I want his new CD bad!!! It is my Birthday soon and I think I may be getting it or I will buy it myself!!!

I am going on RCCL Jan 2005 and we are going to Key West...I am excited to visit Margaritaville!!!! I am saving my money now!!I want to pick up a few things while I am there!!!!

Hey! I went to a free JB concert too!

During the 2000 elections he was traveling all over Florida campaigning for Al Gore. He gave a free show/rally in downtown Tampa.

Hopefully he'll be campaigning for Kerry this year and I'll get to see him again. Great guy.

I am so jealous you git to see him! My sis found out the day before the concert that someone she works with was selling 4 tix..if I would have had more warning I would have gone.

Maybe next year........Sounds like aplan for the boat! I'm in eastern Montgomery County right across the border of Bucks.

I grew up living in South Florida in the 70s and of with, of course, Jimmy Buffett music!!! His old songs sure bring back some memories!


I saw him in Boston, West Palm Beach, and Key Biscayne (spelling??) quite a few years ago. I just looked at concert ticket prices last night and YIKES!!!! I would love to take our kids to one, but it is a huge chunk of cash for a family of 4!!

Well we were treated to the grand opening of a new Margaritaville last week!

One opened on the 12th in Myrtle Beach! What fun.

Wow, where are you guys getting these free concerts??? We spend over a $100 a ticket every year. Considering we live near one of his "hometowns" you would think he would give us a break LOL

But of course, we'll still shell out the money to see him Going Labor Day weekend this year and we're planning our pre-Buffett party already!

Goin' to see Jimmy and the band 8/28 here in Chicago with 3 other couples. Lookin' to do the limo thing so we can all enjoy. Will be my first concert but have almost all his music. Love it!

I heard the shop in St. Maarten where I bought a T-shirt, a Buffet t-shirt, is owned by a friend of his and authorized to sell this "official" Merchandise. Anybody else hear this?

Don't know about the owner, but the shop has a lot of really neat items. Also, the Carribean Soul t-shirts(most of them) have this little logo on the sleave stating that the shop was in St Maarten, West Indies.
Don't pass by the Guava Berry juice.
