HI,
We're leaving for CA on the 27th, also going to DL on Thur and Fri. Staying at the Hilton Anaheim. I'm currently trying to plan the tour of the park. We've never done DL, so I need to get a tour book for tips!
Hopefully we'll fit it all in!
Wendy :flower:

Can you exit CA around 4:30 (Friday) - our hotel is right there (that is what
I heard, anyway) - grab a snack at Whitewater Snacks and meet whoever
can come.....? Please? :wave2: :wave2: :wave2:

Hey Wendy,

The Birnbaum book....Official Guide to DL 2005 is pretty good! Read it on the plane!

Thx Lucy...see you then!

Kathy-Yep, I'm sure you can catch a ride with Mark and Drew. We can talk more about it at Diversions and make concrete plans.

Everyone-my TA is shipping my docs UPS 2day and I have to sign for them so I'll be hanging out at home in 2 days! Talk about dragging it out!

gotten their docs (with the exception of Lisa)??????

My friend had difficulty with Disney getting her DL tickets - we got
our tickets within a week - they told her they mailed them, she never
got them, now she must pick them up at Guest Services.

I am SO READY - no work getting done today.
Tomorrow Tyler has his teeth surgery - I'm a nervous wreck!
glad when it is over, poor kid.

Lucy,

My Mom came home on Saturday and is doing well. It is a bit overwhelming for me at times trying to juggle it all, but I figure I am getting off pretty easy by comparison. Thanks so much for asking :flower:

Oh my gosh it is hotter than blazes out here :sunny: :sunny: It's supposed to be over 100 all week long ugh!! Oh well in a short time, we will all be partying together :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Is anyone else doing the Dolphin encounter for kids in PV?

Have a great week!

Liz

I booked it through VallartaOnline and saved a bunch. I was worried I would not get off and find it in time so I spoke to shore excursions. THey were upset that I had been able to book it outside of Disney because they were supposed to have the boat to themselves. Take you conformation letter. I got off the ship and walked left - it is the next boat and you can see it from the shore excursion window. Walk to the boat with your ticket. I walked to the Marigalante check-in window and was told that no one could have a confirmation for the 9 AM sailing except Disney but when I showed them my confermation, they let us on - no problem. I think we booked before the hold was put on bookings for anyone other than Disney.
On that note. I do not get motion sickness - I rarely get sick at all and I needed dramamine or something similar. Take it at least an hour before the sail begins. (We were unable to eat the free breakfast)The entire ship was sick and very unhappy the first 2 hours of the tour. THen they stop the boat and do a little show so your stomach will calm down for that. The beach is very soon after the show. You tender in on a little boat and they ask that you take only your necessities and leave everything else - so only take what you need. No bathrooms on island so wear your suit. Island is small and only part of it is open to you to use but they set up umbrellas and have a few chairs - grab one quick. Also the boogie boards are first come so grab one of those if you want one - although after awhile they become available again so we did get one eventually.
Return trip the bonine I took finally kicked in and I ate the lunch - pretty good food and the ride did not make me feel awful (thanks to the medicine)
It was a horrable beginning, a show the kids enjoyed but was hoaky and a pretty good lunch. I am glad I did it so I did not wonder what I had missed but I would never do it again!
Shirley

Now we know what we may be up against Lisa. I hope it goes smoothly for us!

I will be doing the observer while DS11, DS8, and DD6 do the encounter. We are all at 11:00 a.m., right?

Sorry about your docs, Lisa, how ridiculous! :guilty:

I was pretty psyched, I ordered tickets for DL and they said to expect them on 7/25 and I received them late last week, way ahead of schedule. :cheer2:

It's crunch time, who started packing???? :moped:

Does thinking about it count???? :rotfl: :rotfl2:

I have a list called the "Disney Vacation Ultimate Packing List". It is set up in Word in checklist fashion. While it's too extensive and somewhat repetitive, I enjoy using it. I highlight the items I want to pack and check them off when finished! If anyone wants a copy, just let me know and I will e-mail it out.

I bought a skirt and shirt for pirate night. Not exactly "Piratish" but a good effort. DS11 still has nothing (beyond a pirate bandana). Any ideas? DD6 has opted for Tinkerbell as a pirate outfit in her eyes would not be "cute". pirate:

We are scheduled for the swim at 9:00, I think. My nieces and I will swim, my mother will observe.

If any one is still interested, I am making activity books (based off Disney's kids online activity pages - color, dot-to-dot, word search, crazy stories, etc - plus pencils/crayons for my nieces to use in the terminal. If you want one or more, just let me know.

Also, I am going to Disneyland this week. If you want/need anything (pirate gear), let me know.

Is anyone doing door signs?

All Seasons Travel just called to inform us that we've been UPGRADED!!! from #6616 (Cat 6) to #8040 (Cat 4)! Hurray!!!!

Jenny I'd love a copy of your Ultimate Packing List.

How about cutting off the bottoms (at capri length) of an old pair of jeans and "shredding" them, a white t-shirt, shredded in the arms, and a colored length of fabric for a sash.

(Ok, so don't tell him, but this is what I am thinking of wearing :) )

David - We are doing the Los Veranos Canopy Tour with Wendy and her family at around 11:00. We are already booked. That would be great if we could all share a cab.

Debi
Debi - Okay, I've booked online with Los Veranos for 11:00. Looks like we may need a van. I'm counting 10+ people?

ALL- The whole family's set with pirate outfits. We went to the local 2nd hand store and found just about everything we needed.

Macbaby,

Sign me up! Owen and Amy would love this!
