Thanks Lucy! I just ordered it. Can't wait to take a peek...still desperate for any info! :teeth:

:sad1: :sad2:
Now here's the scoop. Us guys in the UK can never order the disney DVDs etc. Our DVD players run all regions and the cruise one I managed to obtain works very well, but we can't even get them through the Disney UK site. It is a great souce of consternation for us UK DISers for while we know full well there is not much new info on these commercials, we too would like to get excited by having a visual on our upcoming experience....so pretty please if anyone here feels that they could order an extra one somehow and send it winging it's way across the atlantic to us we'd be eternally grateful , of course we would reimburse your P and P or buy a round of Bahama Mamas whichever you'd prefer :flower:
If you could help give me a PM and I'll send my address to you

Lynn-I'm PMing you right now. I'll try to order an extra one, we'll see if they let me. I'll use DH's name and MILs addy. Don't worry about the postage...bahama mama sounds good to me!

Well, I've ordered my DVD, and my Passporter, my SB Official Guide. I hope that's everything.......soon, very soon, within a few days, I will make my final payments so that I can make my excursion ressies......it's time...... :guilty:

Lucy, I think it was you that's at the GC when I am there. I will probably arrange transportation privately to the ship so we can leave earlier than the busses since that's too late for me too. We are a party of 7. How big's your party? Let's look into it and see if we can't come up with something earlier... pirate:

JoAnn-did you preorder your Passporter? I need to preorder it but I can't find it on the Passporter website - the only thing they have is the 2nd edition which I already have. Also, what is the "SB Official Guide"?

Thanks,
Lisa

JoAnn - I was hoping the same thing - that we could discuss maybe
joint transportation - we also have 7 in our party....i'll start searching too
for transportation - I just can't wait till 12:15 to get on that ship.
Where did you pre-order the Passporter? Amazon?
AND, what is the SB Guide? (Birnbaum?).
Lynn, I would have also helped you out....we have such a great group
here.
Lisa, do you have any suggestions for JoAnn's and my party to get to the
ship? (being from CA). It would really be much better if we could travel
together.
Questions, questions, questions, questions.
:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

ok JoAnn ...answer up.... what and where are you getting that stuff...??

I just wanted to try this Quick answer thing..!!

Lynn ...I was trying for additional copy of the DVD also...

:cool1: how Bill must speak to his daughter through these
DIS boards...... :rolleyes1
so funny. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I think it's great been trying for ages to get my mum on line she's slowly warming to the idea bless her.

Thanks everyone for all the offers, Lisa has my address and a plan for getting a second copy, but thanks for thinking of us.
I know many of you have said you haven't decided on excursions etc and for alot of you chillin' is the order of the day. I do like to do things in port so we're fairly well sorted.
No Disney excursions we're doing our own thing
PV - Canopy Tour Los Veranos am
Mismaloya beach pm

Cabo - ATV Desert Tour am
possibly a short trip to Seal Rock etc pm

Mazatlan - Randi's Horseback Riding

Now Randi gets us back around 2:30pm, I would really like to look around the old town and was going to have a wander by ourselves but then we heard really good things about Mazatlan Frank from the Cruise Critic boards and I've contacted him, he will do a private basic tour of the city hilights
Viewpoint
Cliff Divers
Cathedral
Market
or whatever we want. He has a van which can accomodate up to 10 people.
He charges $200 for the van up to 10 people for a 3 1/2 tour or $160 for 2 hours as it is a private tour we have total control of when we return to the ship. We would go in the afternoon leaving at 2:30pm. He works closely with Randi and has done this before so apparently there isn't a problem with times at all If we did 3 hours we would return at 5:30pm. I'm still not entirely sure on the ship's times but looking at the Disney excursions they are not planning to be back earlier than this, obviouly if we find out something different we'll have to change the length of the tour.
Now the reason for me posting all this detail was to enquire if anyone would be interested in joining us. I know some of you are doing Randis also I didn't know if you would like a short tour afterwards as well. Let me know if you are at all interested and I can give you details of Franks site and the recommendations on cruise critic. BTW this is the same frank who has a thread on the DIS boards too.

Hi Lucy-I would try calling Supershuttle. I know them as an airport shuttle, but I think they'll do a group shuttle and go where you want, especially if you combine you and JoAnn's group, you'll be large enough. Not sure on their pricing but here's the link: http://www.supershuttle.com/htm/cities/sna.htm

They're very good and this one is based in Anaheim! If they can't help you ask them for a referral, I'm sure they'll have one.

I got my Passporter email newsletter yesterday and they had a link to pre-order the 3rd edition. I think you can just go to passporter . com and select the "store" tab and go from there.

Hello All!

Just returned from a weekend alone with DH in Cincinnati. We spent Sat. just hanging out, eating out and watching NCAA tourney. Sunday we went to King's Island and rode a couple of coasters for a passholder preview day. Monday was OPENING DAY of baseball season (finally!)! Cincinnati does it all out. A BIG parade and all. Better yet, the Reds came from two runs behind in the 9th and WON!!! :cheer2: Today I am suffering..........I need some sleep!!! :guilty:

Have you guys received your excursion information yet? DH and I were talking over the w-end about how close we really are (although not close enough!). Anyway..............I am getting so ready to book the excursions. I am getting ready to order my new DCL passporter. I am sure we are going to do the dolphin encounter. I have Randi's Horses booked too. We might opt for a beach on the third port. Any ideas?

Lynn let me know if you get the DVD. I could always order it with my mom's address if you need me to. I would want want too if I were you!

We are planning on hiring a ride to the port. I actually contacted a shuttle service and if I remember it was very reasonable. I just can't seem to find my quote they sent. I will look for that and let you all know. I think it was at www.primeshuttle.com or www.karmel.com I will not take the DCL buses as I want to "be in control" of my departure and arrival (control freak!!). :smooth:

for all the websites.
I truly would like to do a shuttle, instead of the Disney one.
JoAnn, should I PM you with prices when we call? :moped:

Lisa, sorry to constantly ask you these questions...but you are
our CA person, the weather.......I know it won't be humid like Florida
in July, do I need to worry about it being cool, when waiting for the
evening parades. Let me explain. I am a "cold" person (warm inside,
though :rotfl2: ) - I don't stop wearing long sleeves around here until
about the end of June - do I need a jacket for the evenings in
Disney? I know I need them for the ship, the dining room and theatre
(warning: most passengers don't need a sweater/jacket - but I do),
but do I need something for the park?

Jenny - I'm not usually a "control freak" - but, we too, want to be at the
ship when we want to be there - not when Disney gets us there.

70 degrees in PA today - yippee! walking weather.

For sure it's not humid here! We went to WDW in June last year...NEVER again. We had a wonderful time but literally melted while standing still which was a shock for us. We knew it'd be humid, but not that humid. We'll be going back in January next time!

You will need a lightweight sweater in the evening. Anaheim is not subject to desert weather (hot during the day, cold at night) but it will get cooler than in during the day, especially if a coastal breeze picks up. I'd be safe than sorry...besides, you'll more than likely need a lightweight sweater for the cruise in the dining rooms, walking on deck in the evening, etc.

Don't worry about the ???s, I'm happy to help!

:teeth:

I am so glad you asked about the jacket/sweater thing. I would have never thought about that. I too am a "cool" person! Plus, with us going to baseball in the evenings, sounds like we will need a jacket/sweater just in case. :teeth:

I will always remember going to the Yankee/Reds game a few weeks ago in Tampa and FREEZING TO DEATH! We actually left in the third all in agreement that we were miserable! DD5 kept saying "I thought Florida was suppose to be warm"! I don't want to miss my first and maybe last chance to see a game in LA and SD because I am miserably cold!!!!!!! :sad2:

Thx Lucy, Pm me if you get any info. When I have a second, I will also research this!

I have ordered the new Passporter thru Amazon.com. "SB" is Steve Birnbaum's official guide....I always read this book even if it is biased....it's nice to read someone who believes in Disney the way that I do (biased, idealistic, etc.)

Thx Lynn for all your excursions ideas pirate: ...I have to start deciding about this as well!

JoAnn-I ordered mine through amazon too but then Dave Marx (one of the authors) said on the passporter discussion board you'll get it faster if you order through them because their printer is 10 minutes away from where they ship from. It will take about two weeks longer through amazon because the books go from the printer to the warehouse and then shipped to amazon, who then has to receive it and put it into inventory, etc. By the way, even though it's discounted on amazon he said they get paid the same amount regardless of where you order it from. But for the anxious folks, they may want to order it through passporter because they'll get it much sooner. So, I cancelled my amazon order even though it costs more on passporter-my anxiousness has gotten access to my wallet and doesn't care how much it costs :rotfl:

Can't believe I am saying this and it's only April 8th . . . . boy is it hot!!! Going to have to spend the evening in the pool - 95 degrees today.

Heard from a friend that it is going to be hot and humid during the time of our cruise in Mexico. Not liking that part.

Anyone notice that Disney tries to emulate Nordstrom with its customer service? Always been impressed with both.

Just random thoughts . . . . .

Thx all!

Yes, Lucy, PM me if you get some info........I'll probably have more time in a few weeks for researching this stuff! I have one senior prom, one high school graduation, and I've volunteered to host a bridal shower for my niece all between now and June (the end of the school year!)......so I'm alittle booked right now.....I know I have a few more things to arrange before our trip but I have no time to do it!!

We're getting there............ :earsgirl:
