I have a question, have you all paid off your cruise so that you can book your excursions already? I thought you couldn't book until 90 days before.
:moped:

Well, it was a miracle....I lost .8 lbs....5.8 lbs. on WW total.... 7.2 lbs.... since 1/1/05 Believe me, you can't tell! However, at least I'm starting to move in the right direction so I'm psyched today. I found this book called the "Abs Diet" and it makes a lot of sense so that's been motivational. I recommend it! :cheer2:

Yes Jenny! We're going in about 2 weeks...it's time to start checking the weather forecasts!! Our last day is March 18th, how about everyone else? :teacher:

JoAnn-well, you're 7 lbs lighter than you were in December and by my book that's AWESOME!!!! It at least makes the waistband lighter, right! ;)

We just paid our cruise off :cool1: . As for the excursions, I reserved with Randi's Happy Horses in Mazatlan (non DCL) although I'm not sure we'll keep the reservation because since our kids are so young I'm worried they'll be skiddish of the horses, which will not be fun, so I'll see how they feel in a few months. If we don't do that, our friends who are cruising with us are going to spend the day at a beach they've been to before and we'll rent wave runners and just relax. In PV we booked our excursion through vallarta online.

It rained here on Friday but yesterday and today have been beautiful, in the high 60s. Not sure what the forecasts holds for 2 weeks for now, but I'll keep my fingers crossed for good weather!

;) Thx for all the support!! Yes, no matter what you weather is, it's better than ours! A change of scenery will be great no matter what!!

Lisa,
I was watching the weather channel this morning, and thank goodness,
it looks like you MAY see sunshine this week - even though I don't
personally know you, I really am concerned about you and your family -
you have had TOO MUCH RAIN!
JoAnn,
Hope you also encounter GREAT weather in California - stop those rains!
I'll put up with the snow here if you guys get great weather on your
vacation. Also, the WW thing, even though I'm also around the 10 lb. mark,
noone notices either - but I do feel a little better....NOW, the LONG climb
to the 20 lb. mark - remember, better to take it slow - although I wanna
cut the lbs. right off NOW! JoAnn - I e-mailed you.
Bill,
Thanks for keeping in touch - we love your smilies too. I can't wait to
meet you and your wife.
Lynn, Jenny, Dustin - keep on lurking - we miss hearing from you.
Spring break: my 12 yr. old will have spring break starting March 21st.
My university is on spring break this week.
Lucy has NO spring break! :sad2:

Lucy-thanks for your concern. The rain has been a bit overwhelming especially since we're all not used to it. At least now we know our four year old house was made well because we haven't had any leaks so that's good news. And our yard drainage was done right because everything seemed to drain well. The thing I more concerned about is summer and fall - the rain has brought a huge amount of foliage growth which will really be a nightmare for fire season. That scares me more than anything.

OK new topic...I've never had a mickey bar :mickeybar: and I hear everyone talking about them. Are they that great?

are they ever GREAT!
ask an expert, ME!, who has probably tried every snack at Disneyworld.
Only thing is, I never get one in the park (get them at the resort) - they
are very messy to eat in the summertime - melt quickly.
You know, you could probably go to your local grocery store and
buy a Dove ice cream bar, but it doesn't taste the same since it
isn't "Mickey shaped".
Any other questions regarding FOOD? :cake:

Funny you would say the messy part. I read on the Passporter newletter last night a great tip (especially for our messy kids). Take a cup lid, turn it upside down and put the stick through the X opening. Makes a great "collar" and catches the drips!!!! It thought that was so cool!

I love Mickey bars :mickeybar , but love the Minnie bars too!!!!!

I cannot wait to order a Roller Coaster next week at the Luna Park Pool (BWV)! It's my favorite drink!!!!! :drinking1 I so need this vacation!!!!

WW girls! Just about 10 pounds......go pick up a sack of potatoes and remember how much you have really lost! It's so much more than you think! You've done a great job and KEEP IT UP!!! :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2: :cheer2:

Thx again all, WTG Lucy for the 10 lb. marker....that's terrrific...my history with WW is....about 3 years ago I lost 27 and kept 10 off....now I am down about 6.....my new policy is slllllloooooooowwwwwww but hopefully steady.....

I am going on DCL for motivation!

I am ready for Spring, and I have to look into paying off my trip....did you get an excursion brochure from DCL after you paid off the trip?

I'm trying to hold out until the last minute! :umbrella:

We are paid off and have no brochure. Should I be calling DCL??? I am really interested in the dolphin encounter. I am still disappointed that DCL bought up the whole place and raised the prices sugnificantly :sad2: , but oh well!!! I am going on the cruise no matter what!!!!!!!!! :cool1:

We haven't gotten a brochure either, but just last night I read in my passporter DCL book that you get it 30 days before the cruise leaves, which to me is too late.

So here's what I did yesterday which is why I wasn't on the board. I spent 7 hours in the ER with my 3 year old. On Sunday night he fell asleep on the sofa and he was so content I didn't want to move him. Somehow he basically threw (not rolled) himself off the couch in his sleep and whacked the coffee table on the side of his head. He cried for a bit and I took him to his bed and he went back to sleep. The next morning he got out of his bed and walked right into his bedroom door and he wanted me to carry him. He basically communicated to me he was off balance and would fall if he walked on his own. So, I took him to the urgent care and while waiting in the PACKED office he started throwing up. At that point I panicked because I know that's a sign of a head injury and last month a boy at my older son's school died from a injury to the side of the head...he was checked out but no cat scan was done. Mom put him to bed that night and he never woke up. Anyway, the doctor there told me to go to the ER immediately because they would more than likely need to do a cat scan and they don't have the facilities at the urgent care. The ER took me in almost right away. They gave him a shot to sedate him so we could do the cat scan. The shot works on most kids but he's a fighter. He kept shaking himself awake (even though it was naptime by now). The moment we laid him on the cat scan table he shook himself awake and became hysterical. So then they had to give him a shot to put him in conscious sedation. They explained the process to me but explaining and seeing are two different things. They gave him two shots, one in each leg at the same time--one for the sedation and the other to dry up his fluids so he wouldn't choke on them. He fell asleep almost instantly (he was laying on my chest and I was sitting in the hospital bed). They had me roll him over and when they did his eyes opened but it was like he was dead-there was nothing in his eyes, don't know how to explain it. Well, I lost it. They told me it would be like that but I never imagined it to look that way. So, they closed his eyes like they do when someone dies, which made me even worse. It was awful, I can't get that picture out of my head. Even though I could hear his heartbeat on the monitor it just was hard to look at. Anyway, we got the cat scan done but he's such a fighter that at one point he muttered "no" and a bit later "go home" and finally "mama". They were all amazed because he shouldn't have been able to do that. So, in the end the cat scan (thank God) was AOK and they determined he had a concussion which can cause you to throw up and be off balance. They wouldn't let me leave until he woke up so we were there for a long time because then he was so tired, poor baby. By the time we got home at 6:30 he was his usual self but not sure footed. Today he's totally back to normal. :flower:

All I can say is I give a lot of credit to those families that have children who are terminally ill or ill with cancer. I don't know how they do it. My 7 hours just exhuasted me. I just thank God he's OK. Sorry for being a downer, I just needed to share.

I'm so glad everything is OK. Is there anything more frightening than your
own child in the emergency ward in the hospital - NO! We, fortunately,
had to experience it only one time, and with all the times we've been
in the hospital with our parents, it is frightening when it is your child.
Accidents can happen so quickly with children. Please know that your
new-found-friends are thinking of you and your family, but especially
your little boy. - Lucy

I DO like the new countdowns....they don't hurt as much as counting

Go ahead, beat me up - I skipped WW last night - it was just TOO
cold to go back outside after getting home from work. :sad2:

Ok, Ok, I understand.....my dad has been ruining my reputation for YEARS!!!! :rotfl:

I totally understand why you skipped WW last night...being cold IS JUST NOT WORTH IT! :smooth:

Truthfully, DON'T WORRY.... :bitelip:

We are a fun family.... :cloud9:

And you will know..... :wizard:

That you have made a GOOD decision..... :teeth:

Hi gang! We're all doing well...thanks for all your concern and good wishes. Drew is like himself again and I'm trying to put the whole thing behind me. I'm a bit more protective of him right now. It's been a rough few weeks between my car accident and then his ER visit. But he's AOK and I only have a few more weeks of physical therapy left. :cool1:

Lisa ::MinnieMo

..a turn-around of good luck - here's to a better year.

I'm getting really anxious. Starting to read and ask questions on the
Disneyland boards. ::MickeyMo

How many people will be in Disneyland before their cruise?
I believe JoAnn will be at the GC along with us?, correct?
We will arrive at the GC on July 26. This resort is terribly expensive,
but we are only doing it one time.....so here is to the best!

Please, who will be in Disneyland? I would love to run into
many of you before our cruise.

We will be at the Hyatt Orange County near DL on July 25th. We will be at DL the 26th - 28th, then a day in SD. We will follow the Cincy Reds while in CA. We will see them at LA on the 25th and SD on the 29th. Gotta pack it all in!!! DH and I will be celebrating our 10th during the trip!

We won't :sad2: . Living in Southern Cal we've been to DL many times and have had annual passes several years in a row (not this year though). We're putting all our extra $$ towards the cruise and related expenses. In the past we've had annual passes so we've been to DL so many times. But I'll enjoy a mickey bar with anyone once we get on the cruise.... :mickeybar:
