Hey Lu, you and Bob have to plan a weekend trip in mid-September......something you couldn't do before........then you'll feel better!

Actually, you'll probably get called for that job in late August and you'll lose all your freedom again!

But I do know how you feel, I get the early school year butterflies every year! That's why I'm going to start working, I like to be ready!

Yes, Jessica is at pre-training, it's a grueling 8-12;5-7 practice each week day for the next two weeks, it's designed to ruin my last two full weeks of summer, b/c I feel bad for her and I try to be home for it.......

i won't be watching any more Diana tributes - I had dreams about her all night long It will be hard to avoid since the 10 yr. anniversary of her death is coming up and all the morning talk shows are concentrating on it. How is it in England, Lynn?

Think Jenny is thru her first day, yet? Tomorrow her kids start. Report in Jennster.

Thanks for the wishes Deb....it was NO big deal while we were home, but I believe it was a big deal while he was home alone...."they" went thru a huge pack of hamburgers, finding beer caps everywhere......the house WAS clean, but sticky....hmmmmmm
and I wouldn't have done the same thing?

Joannster - all I can think about right now is that cruise next summer...I know, the Canal, but none of our "groupies" will be there....getting sad over that too....boy, would I LOVE to go back to the Grand California....but I wouldn't get off at ANY of the ports!

Bill and Alice - how is the jet lag working out for you?

the first day was fine, despite Mallory waking up with PINK EYE!!!! So, lunch was spent at the doctor's office......oh well!

Tomorrow, the show begins! I always get butterflies too guys even after 23 years of this!!! My student teacher was great help today, but we had so many meetings it was crazy....

JoAnn and Lynn.....details! I want details!! You too Lucy! In a couple of weeks I expect details from Debi as well!!!

Welcome back to school!!! I went in today and long story short, I'll be back on the 27th!

Sorry about the lunch visit, I hope she's okay! Especially for school tomorrow! It's always something!

No pressure!! You're crossing the canal!! I feel the way that you do about the ports, but I'm going to try to be more creative and research everthing more.....a few years ago, I booked jet skis around Key West and it remains a family highlight! Needless to say, it wasn't one of the offered excursions.....hopefully, I'll come up with some good stuff!

The Rents are getting ready for the annual air show.........

I don't think I mentioned this but a DISer on the Med cruise's dad (who was sailing with the family, he was about 78?)....slipped and fell in the bathroom, our cruise was rerouted to get him to a hospital..........he was there since Day Two of our cruise.......we just found out that he passed away today. So please keep Wendy & her family in her prayers .........I believe her son is getting married this weekend as well.....this poor family is going thru so much......... they're from NY.

My day went o.k. It's early, but they are a chatty bunch! M&M like their teachers and even John likes his! I am tired for sure! My student teacher was a big help with those little things today. I have never had one in the fall, always in the spring, so this is a new experience for me.

Lynn My student teacher and another from our building are heading off to England to teach in October!!! Kim hasn't been placed yet, so I don't know where exactly she is heading.

JoAnnTHat is so sad about the Diser's father! My prayers to the family.

Our next door neighbor died over the weekend as did a man who always stays at the Hyatt like us when the Bengals are home. It was so sudden for both! Next weekend will be strange without Howard and Debbie there for the game at the hotel.

Preseason football game Saturday night for us. One of our "tailgating" friends has been taking cooking classes, so she has coordinated meals for all of our tailgates. She is doing dishes that go with the opposing team's hometown. THis weekend we are having foods of New Orleans!!! Wasn't that a cool idea????

The NY family who lost their father today, were very nice, the dad was from Sicily and he was hurt the night before he went to his homeland so he never got there.........it's really weird, but so sad..........the family sounds very close and the grandson is getting married in FL next weekend(25th).....this grandson speaks Italian so he got off the ship to help his grandfather during the last few days........how incredible is that?? It just makes you appreciate your family alittle........give your kids a hug tonight!!

Tara's BF is taking over my FF spot.......SO BE AFRAID, BE VERY AFRAID!!

Ken is running the NYC Marathon the first weekend in November.....the race starts in Staten Island.............at 10am..........I except Lucy & Debi there with pompoms........

Lucy: Bill & I did not suffer from too much jet lag(not that I am sure exactly what that is....)! We were tired but able to resume our daily activities. Now it's a question of getting all the pictures in order. I bought an album the Disney store that has room for notes and pictures--really nice.

It was such a terrific trip, it is a real shame that you couldn't all be there. I am ready to go back again, Love Alice

Packing Sorry honey, I am not like you. I will start packing next Thursday...and finish up Friday night, the girls will pack for themselves, just have to make sure Briana has more than just underware in her suitcase....

I am taking the day off today, Alex is working for me. I have a show down in Pennsauken, NJ this w/e, set-up is Friday, show is Sat and Sun, so it will be a busy w/e.

BUT, on another note....the packing, would you believe, because I was off, I had my suitcase packed 2 nights before we left, and it felt SO GOOD! Well, let's just say, Bob made me do it, and the night before we left, I actually got to relax! That has NEVER, ever happened and probably won't happen again (gosh, I hope he doesn't read this! ).

Lynnster: when does that "bloody" school begin again? I hope you have a few more weeks to rest, after that vacation.

Joannster: where does that race end? in the City? Bob DOES have off that weekend, but we are also only 2 weeks away from our musical....keep us informed about the route of the race (of course I want to know the END of the race, for fear Ken will want me join him ). HEY, maybe we could get Lynn and Keith to join us again!

Today I started scrubbing down our kitchen - something I haven't done since 'who knows when' - I don't like it. Only did half the kitchen, don't want to run out of things to do

She had it the day I had to work, but no students. So, she was on the antibiotic almost 24 hours before school. That's why she was allowed to go. She is frustrated with the eye drops! Actually, he said she had pink eye AND allergies!!

Day 2 was o.k. It will be interesting.....I have a couple of boys who when I tell them what they are supposed to be doing they tell me what THEY ARE doing.....they were a little shocked to hear "I KNOW what you are doing, but it's not what you are SUPPOSED to be doing!!" duh!!!!!! And we wonder why I love margaritas???????

Late breaking news..........Tara will probably stay in Miami for the next quarter, which means..........we MAY be down there in late December.......I believe Lucy will be in WDW; Jenny will be in FL and Lynn may be in WDW?

So................???? I may be down there in FL for the winter months to help her pack out???
