I am down in SB for round 2 of getting Tara settled......Ken is home, he checked on his brother and things are looking good, operation is over. Next, he will have a lung operation so we need more prayers in October, hopefully all will be worth it!

Yes, Deb, I'm bummed but I hear I'm playing Dadster this weekend, maybe I'll get my first win!!

Well Bill after 2 hard losses suddenly the Brits are back in town coming from behind overnight to beat our NY friends I hope Micco doesn't hold it against me I really don't want to spend 2 nights in an airport you know!!!!

Jenny - What a game the Jets had yesterday against the Colts, very disappointing and heartbreaking, but we played hard a full 60 minutes, they never gave up. Great 103 yard runback for a TD (the crowd went nuts) only with Peyton to come back and score in the last 2 minutes (he can do that to you, just like Dan Marino used to do to us). But did you get to see the highlights of the final play???? 8 laterals (one of the best plays I have ever seen in NFL), they almost did it, it was a lot of fun. Sometimes I wonder if I get my gray hairs from the kids or the J-E-T-S! Sorry about the Bengals...I didn't realize till this morning though that Maroney is my RB, he was amazing yesterday (I also have Reggie Bush in another league). Looks like Maroney may be the realy thing. It was really good talking to you yesterday during the game (I couldn't hear much, but it was good to hear your voice).

And Lynn - Kicked Captain Nemo's butt, my DH is not doing too well this year...sorry dear...LOL. You go girl, I love to see you getting into it. My game is still not over and it is very close, I am playing my niece, who hasn't a clue what she is doing, yet she is already 2-1 (and may be 3-1 by tonight).

JoAnn - Glad everything went well with Ken's brother, we will continue to keep him in our prayers for round 2 this month.

Just about ready to head back up North today. Tara and her roommate started class today! How exciting! Tracy and I are flying back, we are toast, it was really hot down here! No more fun and games, back to Autumn!

I haven't checked my FF results, things were looking promising....thx, Tara's BF!!!

Our Eagles play tonight so I'll miss all of it flying home tonight!

So, how's school, Lynn, Lucy, and Jenny? How's the store, Deb? How's the kids, Kath?? How's the beach Mom and Dad (nice quote, BTW!)

it won't be long, and BOY, do I need a FUN weekend.

I've been, once again, glued to my TV about our local Amish country and the disaster that happened to them today. It is unbelieveable....these people
wouldn't harm anyone, they keep to themselves, the ones around here are so friendly, and someone would walk into a school and do that to children.
I'm so upset...this world scares me. I'm sure you have ALL seen the news today. I'm lucky if I will sleep tonight.

So glad we finally heard from Debi. HEY, YOU GUYS, this football 'stuff' - I just don't get it...can't we talk about something like Disney....rumors have it there will be special announcements this week, regarding their celebrations.
The media are starting to appear in NYC...why NY? Can't figure that one out.

Someone from the midwest is NOT getting enough sleep, is spending too much time in Cincy....any guesses?! Think of the poor children in her classroom, they must have ONE CRABBY TEACHER

I felt good until a few minutes ago, Lucy! Now, I am TIRED!! We got in bed around midnight. It's always harder to get up after a "good old fashioned butt whippin"!!! Our line got BLOWN AWAY on both sides of the ball! OH well, the sun came up today!!!

How far are you from Lancaster Co. Luce? I thought of you immediately. My mom grew up in the same kind of community and Mark was in a similar area. You are right. They are good people and wouldn't hurt anyone.

Debi ~ I cheered hard for the J-E-T-S!! We were in the parking lot tailgating when I called. Everyone was wanting to know what was going on, so I just went "straight to the source"! They were impressed!!

Lynn ~ I am telling you, order tickets for Tampa Bay or Jacksonville. You are so hooked, you need to see a game. Too bad it's not the weekend we are there, you could go see the Bengals and Tampa Bay with us!!!! Touche' to Bill too!!!

Kathy ~ Your Pats were rough on us. I think it is a "good loss". Brings them back down to earth!!

For all you Steeler fans........I was at the Indiana/Wisconsin football game Sat. I am 24 rows off the field on the 15 yard line. I looked down and said to Mark, "That is Ben Roethlisberger down there, isn't it?" Sure enough... It was the Steelers off week and his college coach is now our coach at Indiana. He was in visiting Coach Hep who recently had brain surgery two weeks ago. There's more to that story, but it's all rumor. Look for more after the season to come out regarding Hep's medical condition. Ben's visit will all make sense. BTW ~ I was impressed that he would take his off weekend to visit a sick friend. He could have gone many other "exotic" places than this dump!!!

Lucy - I agree with you, this world has gotten so scary. School used to be a place where we considered our children safe, now I worry every day I drop Briana off at school. The beginning of the year they told the kids they would be wearing their IDs on a lanyard around their neck (they have not started it yet), and I thought it was a little weird and wondered why, being in a Catholic school where all the kids wear uniforms, they could easily tell who should be there and not. Then Briana told me that last year some kids stole some Moore (her school) uniforms and got into the school for some reason, (maybe to harm a student or teacher) but I believe they caught them. After hearing that, I thought it wasn't a bad idea. Now with all the school violence that has gone on this past week, I really think it's a great idea. It's a shame that our children have to live like that, though.

Jenny - That is so funny that you called from the parking lot, glad your friends were impressed. We had a real idiot Colts fan sitting in front of us (drunk, of course - couldn't even stand up - hope he wasn't driving home) and I turned to Micco and said, "Remind me not to act like an a**h*** when we go to Cincinnati to see the Jets play the Bengals next year!" LOL. I promise to be good, and not an idiot JETS fan!

Lynn - Got your other PM, still not sure what we're doing with this trip next year, we have not booked our flight yet, Micco keeps going back and forth as to whether we are going or not, he is the decision maker when it comes to something like this, I guess I will know once the flight is booked that it's a go! I am keeping my fingers crossed.

still down in the dumps, the news just keeps getting worse.....
NO, Jenny, actually, JoAnn is probably closer to this area than I am.
I've been to alot of towns in the Lancaster area, but never heard of this one.

Debi - I (almost) know we can't do the Med...the flight prices scare me....
We still have made no commitments, other than the deposit on the Med.
IF we can't do the Med., we WILL be doing another cruise....I've gone a year
without a cruise. I'm kindof anxious about this week.....and any announcements, I'm hoping they would announce the 2008 itineraries.
It is either going to be a 4-day Wonder next year, and WDW for a full week, or a 7-day RCCL cruise, and still Disney for a full week (I've 'heard' you can
take a RCCL cruise, 7 days, for the same price of a 4-day Wonder).
Right now, I could kick myself for "worrying" about my vacation, when there are so many bad things going on right now.

Lynn - what time are you leaving from Newark on Sunday? Whether or not Deb and Micco like it or NOT, we are coming up Friday night already. I hope we can see you guys that night already.

Hi Lucy, The news is indeed horrible. I thought about you and JoAnn immediately, wondering who was closer.

JoAnn, Ted was pretty confident that he was going to pull out a victory on Monday night until his guy got hurt or something.

We need to start planning an Summer 2008 cruise on Freedom of the Seas or her new sister ship that will be coming out. I've heard nothing but rave reviews of that ship. Our dates are completely open for 2008. Come on everybody, give me some dates and numbers and I'll start looking into it for us. Maybe we could combine this with a trip to WDW so we'll all get our Disney fix.

Debi, I'm so glad that you're so happy in the new store. You definitely deserve it!!

Freedom of the Seas, BUT, I want to wait until Disney announces their 2008 schedule.....something's up with them, I can feel it.

On the cruise forum thread, people are raving about Mariner of the Seas compared to Disney...said if they HAD to take another cruise line, it would be RCCL and Mariner. I just KNOW I never want to cruise on Carnival.
I'm dreaming of California again and Disneyland, and a cruise to Hawaii!!!!
Like I said, I'm dreaming.......I also had dreams of the Med until I faced the airfare prices...yikes!

Debi - I CAN'T WAIT to see the new store....we will have time, won't we?

Yes, I won!!!My manager finally paid off....... .......what's this cr*p about everyone bailing next summer???? We are TOTALLY IN, no worries, Lynn and Dad!!! My family is so psyched to go to Europe, our next step is to get our passports by December...............come on people.........

Tara is safe in Miami, she has started classes, she seems really content and excited about her program. She has met people from all around the world and the country............it was scorching down there...... ......we went to the beach and saw some sights but mostly got Tara situated..........didn't watch too much TV, so I don't know much about the Amish situation, but....all of our schools need to be more secure...... .......those girls have to go to school, they don't have a choice, let's keep it safe for our kids!!!

Back to school today, survived despite the lack of sleep last night!!

We'll be up Saturday morning 10/21, for the reunion, and hope to meet everyone in NYC at some point probably around noon. I want to take Pops out for a nice dinner, so let me know where we can take him, Debs! AT this point my two younger girls are joining us as well............. Jessica has a game fairly early on Sunday so we will head back early Sunday morning. That's our plan, let me know what else we're doing and where we need to meet everyone!

JoAnn - Are we looking to go casual or fancy for dinner on Saturday night, just let me know and I will see what I can come up with.

Disdaddy - That was the best 60 minutes of football I have seen from the Jets in years. That last play was amazing and it almost payed off, oh well. I am glad we stayed to the end of the game.

OK, did anyone see GMA this morning; they had the family on that won the Keys to the World and got to spend the day in DW without any other guests. They rolled out the red carpet down Main Street and then had a horn blower blowing the horn, Main Street was totally empty except for this family, and then all of a sudden, every single character and all the workers game out to greet them. It was the coolest thing! Yes, it made me cry, I wished that was my family!
