gang.....what is up....noone talking anymore.....since JoAnn started the 'other' thread - come on guys, this is ONE SPECIAL group and we
can't forget each other.....there have NEVER been friendships like these
friendships..... :grouphug:

I just HATE when we go to the 2nd page..... :furious:

Just hoping everyone is too busy right now to chat because of your upcoming trip to WDW... :woohoo:
BUT, I know Ms. Jenny and Ms. Lucy aren't going so where is part of
this "stay at home" team....Ms. Jenny.....where are you

It has gotten SO COLD here...this morning we had snow showers...in
April! Makes me wish for Florida even more. pixiedust:

On Sunday Tyler turns 14, oh, joy, that means a sleepover with lots of boys in my house - YUCK! :scared1: :sad1: :headache:

We leave tomorrow morning. I'll be offline until the 14th. We're excited to see everyone next week! I've still got alot of packing to do.

Oh Lucy!! I was wondering about you myself!!! :sunny: I came home last night feeling really BAD!! :sad2: I did as much laundry as I could muster the energy for and thankfully had put together a crock pot! :stir: As soon as the kids were in bed and Mark and I had eaten, I WENT TO BED!!! I woke up with yucky sinuses. I woke up at 7 a.m. (yes, the kids and I had to be at work at 8 a.m.!!) I made it though! I feel better tonight......... I have conferences tomorrow night, so I will be at work 8 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. :surfweb:

I will definitely take my laptop to Cincinnati this weekend :car: so you won't be "alone" Lucy!!!

BTW ~ families without power here until last night....that storm was really bad! Fortunately, we didn't lose any power! BAD NEWS....I had to change that darn ticker down there AGAIN!!! :furious: Had to cancel my trip to Wrigley Field!!! :sad2:

Kathy, Debi, JoAnn and families........have a FABULOUS time!! party: I know I was just there less than a month ago, but I wish I could go with you all!! :yay: Kiss Minnie for me!! ::MinnieMo (or Mickey for that matter!!! ::MickeyMo ).

Well, Lucy, we'll hold down the boards! OH!! Who is taking a laptop and is in charge of updates? Lucy and I want to live vicariously through your wonderful Disney time!! :tink:

:grouphug:

I plan to bring DD19's laptop on the trip (she just doesn't know it yet.) :teeth: I will post daily, I promise!!!

Hey all, you know, this group will live forever.........no worries!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :grouphug:

Now, about the 'OTHER' thread............YOU ARE ALL WELCOME!! :thumbsup2

The "rents" are leaving in the AM, they'll be in WDW TOMORROW! I'm jealous!

Boy, Jenny, do you usually have this many late closings? We actually had a mini snow storm today during school......it was nuts! :sunny: I had a meltdown with my "friend (ST)" today..........7 more days!!! I'm totally losing it!!

Our school play was so darling, I loved it, there were wonderful leads and the kids did their next performance...........Broadway, here I come!! :rolleyes1

I'm so psyched to see Debi & family; Kathy & family; next week......Jenny & family; Lucy & family; in July...........AND Lynn & Keith; L&B?; P&P? AND THE REST OF US??? NEXT SUMMER???? THE CHALLENGE IS ON............. :wave2:

We average 0-1 closings a school year! This has been an odd year. The snow is one thing, but I can't ever remember the whole corporation being closed for no electricity! Even after the tornados three years ago which struck on both sides of our building (yes, an experience I care to forget ~ with kids and all!!) we had electricity. If it were one building, the state would have provided a wavier. Unfortunately, there was no power for 24 hours at school and some people locally as much as 48 hours!

thank you for taking the laptop along......it is the only way I can live thru your trip, and also knowing the next time you are in WDW, I will be too. :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

Oh, our so-called GOOD friends and neighbors are there right now and the stinkers just phoned me from the hotel.....and later on this morning they will call me back when the choir is performing in the Magic Kingdom....oh, yea,
what good friends we have - NOT! :furious:

Hey, JoAnn, you and Bob could go into the directing business...... :lmao:
He is now trying to choose between two shows for our next musical.....
he just got the rights to Aida and Thoroughly Modern Millie (i'm rooting for
this one)....I don't think the PA Dutch area is ready for a high school musical of Aida (although one of our local high schools is doing that show this weekend and we are going to see it). :confused3

I'm so sad when others are in Disney, i constantly play Disney music on my computer....found a web radio station that plays all the music from all the parks and parades.... :surfweb:

Are you willing to share? I'll need it too!!!!

in trouble? NEVER! :sad2:
Didn't I call YOU from Jack's car at Christmas - we are even.
AND, don't worry, I'll be calling my neighbors when I'M in Disney -
works both ways, you know. :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:

I'm truly hoping SOME people keep in touch with the "stay-at-homes" next week. :yay: :yay: :yay:

My dear DISers.....who is going to be the one to have a Mickey bar for me, as did Jenny's children. :mickeybar :mickeybar :mickeybar

Have a great time everyone.
Now I've booked a med cruise and Jo Ann is coming too, Bill and Alice what about you , Deb,i Micco come and see my side of the pond... Lucy???? Jenny I can understand with your young people in tow it may not be the thing but haven't you heard of summer camps!!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

Now onto other things I've found a way to combine WDW and NYC well to be fair we will only be in NYC for 24 hours but hoprfully we can see something in that time, so if anyone wants to join us particularly our Staten island friends the plan is this.
Fri 20th Oct late flight London to Newark gets in at 11pm the next day 21st early flight to WDW leaves at 7am.

Coming home MCO to Newark arriving 10:30pm on Friday 27th, then not leaving until 10pm on the 28th
I guess this gives us most of one day in the Big Apple
Any recommendations know of any good hotels near Newark
Debi I know you're at WDW soon but when you get back any tips appreciated.

Cuddles for the mouse from us in the UK
Jenny Lucy I'll help us stay on page 1

Kathy I'm looking into Tours in the Med I'll let you know what I discover
:grouphug:

Hey Lynn.....maybe we could join you for a show in NYC on the 28th, perhaps a matinee?

If you want to plan this out, I will definitely meet you there that weekend.

I recommend the Marriott Marquis for your one night, it is right in the theatre district......

Anyone else coming up for the matinee?? :grouphug:

Alright, I have cracked myself up already with my title!!! My maiden name is Wheeler!!! HA!!! We always called our family "issues" or soap opera "As the Wheels Turn"!! :lmao:

That's an idea!!! We don't have many in the midwest, but I could "ship" them east, right east coasters???? :rotfl2: Don't they have a lot of summer camps out there???

Believe it or not, but I am on vacation (Fall Break) Oct. 27th at noon until Oct. 31st!!! HMMMMMMM!

Lucy ~ Just got home from conferences, so I haven't tried the radio, but will tomorrow! :grouphug:

Oh Yeah I feel a meet coming on Jo Ann and Jenny... How about you guys going to the theatre after a day with us we get good theatre in London you see so I'd love to do some of the other sites Debi What do you think???

BTW I'm I'm sure auntie Allie would run a super Summer camp so you can get away Jenny :rotfl: :rotfl:

Seriously, great plan for October, I'm always up a for a show in NYC............let's plan on a definite matinee............I'll start looking for options!!! :thumbsup2

As soon as Lynn mentioned those dates, i checked our calendar - we have a family wedding that day, in addition to chaperoning a float in a parade, in addition to Bob working that day and goodness knows how we are going
to do everything - I AM SICK! You just don't know......I was even
trying to think of a way to meet Lynn and Keith on their stopover TO Florida.....I'm going to bed right now because I'm really sad.

Okay now Lucy don't cry no more
We've been in touch with the airline and have now booked our tickets we've changed our stopover to the first weekend Sorry Jenny!!!! This gives us 2 nights in a row in NYC still only a day but we would be able to take in a show on the Saturday night if anyone wanted to do this with us.. Sorry to mess you all around but it was Lucy that started me thinking about the first weekend and when we thought about it some more it made a lot of sense. So new plan

Dep London 8:30pm Arr Newark 11:10pm 20th Oct
Stay in NYC 2 nights probably near Newark airport
Dep Newark 6:55am Arr Orlando 9:34am 22nd Oct
Stay in Orlando hoping for VWL 6 nights
Dep Orlando 4:35pm Arr Newark 7:20pm Dep Newark 9:45pm Sat 28th Oct
Arr London 8:25am Sun 29th Oct

So we'll be in the City for 31 hours and 45mins all told we'll need to sleep a bit!!!! So what should we get up to?? and who can come and show us around???

JoAnn did you hear Bob has booked the MEd :cheer2:
Come on Mico don't let us down!!

I think that weekend in October WILL work!

It is our anniversary too....so no children (oh, yea, Micco will be there! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: :lmao: )

Lynn - let us know where you are booking a room too.

Can Keith bring his frog shirt along, please!

Lynn - I am so excited, we will definitely keep that weekend open. As far as hotels near Newark, I know a good one right here on Staten Island, only about 20 minutes from the airport. With free shuttle service to and from the airport, I think you will find the accomodations ok at the Bolusi Hotel. Warm beer, lousy food, and no maid service...but you guys are more than welcome. Yes, we do have hot and cold running water, 4 loos (sp?) and a dog that will probably lick your face and wake you up in the morning. But the bagels and pizza are good here!!! Please consider it, we would love to have you as our guests. And anyone elses that is in town that w/e, you can stay with us.

We are so excited for our trip to see Allie, she has been having a rough week and really needs a mommy, daddy and sister hug.

Anyway, we will talk soon...I am going to look for that "other" thread...cause I have to be quiet here...big ears are always listening.

Debi

Lucy's been real hush hush about this ( remember she is the pessimist), but we have also booked a cabin on the July 28th Med cruise !!! Like Micco, I say we will be going on this trip, Lucy, on the other hand says, "We'll see". So I need you guys to help me persuade "Miss Negative" that we are going. :rotfl2: :rotfl2:
Seriously though, it really all depends on the "total package" with air fare, tours, etc. That will decide if we are definite. But in the meantime, we are there!! :woohoo: :woohoo:
Those of you on your way to WDW, have a wonderful time and say Hi to ::MinnieMo for me. Also ride EE a couple of times!!
Lynn- we will definitely see you in October- whatever it takes!! We are always up for a trip to NYC.
JoAnn and Jenny- can't wait till July !! Debs- are you still in ?
Take care and have fun!!
