Hey! July 30,2005 Cruise to Mexico Reunion Thread

We're just trying to chill a little today. I took Mallory to Old Navy and bought her some shorts since she had NONE to take to Florida. I washed and vacuumed my car as well. It was 67 degrees outside! It is supposed to rain the next couple of days, but I couldn't resist knocking the salt off of it! I hate a dirty car......must be something inherited from my father, the car dealer!

Happy Mothering Day to all the US and UK ladies as well!

JoAnn........wrestling is so "smelly"! I just remember when I coached how bad the wrestling rooms smelled and how nasty the uniforms are on them!

Marshall had a Boy Scout overnighter last night. He fell asleep at 5 a.m....he was the last one standing!

Tonight I start packing!

I fell yesterday off the wagon...

There was an odd smell, that's for sure!

I'm trying to get motivated around here.........I have a million things to do!

I typed up a LONG thread and lost the whole thing - the board went down.

My first statement was: Bob has ALWAYS wanted to go to England
I've always wanted to be invited to Buckingham Palace, but did THAT ever happen I want to thank Prince Harry for serving in Afghanistan

Packing? My worst nightmare of a vacation...oh, yea, I remember, I don't do that, Bob does!

Jenny, sorry i couldn't talk yesterday - the pain in my hand was AWFUL....I think i over did it with making the sandwiches, carrying things into the school, etc. etc etc It is much better today.

SO today Bob took me out for my birthday - to my favorite Mexican restaurant....WELL, when we got there, the place has closed down (we were there a few months ago) - doesn't that just #&!%#* He DID get me a Hannah Montana CD...hey, don't knock it - I like her!

Whew, do you remember a year ago, when I thought the girls were going to Europe in 2007? That year went fast........we were discussing all of this a year ago! Time flies..........

John came home today not feeling well. I quarrantined him to his room in the basement! We cannot have ANYONE sick this week. The stuff going around right now is awful and it lingers forever!!!

Anyone watching Barbara Walters touring the royal family's home? This is interesting!I am quite proud of Harry for his service. I just love and respect those who serve their country.

We are taking EVERYONE this trip. John didn't get to go the last time because of football, but is this time. Mark called yesterday and landed a 7:10 ressie on Sunday at LeCellier!!!! I can almost taste it already! They could only take 2, 3 or 4 so we are taking M&M to the Sandcastle Club and Mark, John and I are going! M&M were not disappointed in the least, nor was I!!!

We will be at WDW through Tuesday night. On Wed. morning we will drive down to Sarasota. We are going to spend the day on Siesta Key beach on Wed. We'll see two games on Thursday and Friday before returning home Sat.

I might take the laptop and send updates. We'll see..... Anyone know if they have the free in room internet at BWV? If they do I am definitely taking the laptop. If not, you'll just have to wait a week!

it is my fault
have NOT been doing the therapy for it - do not have that kind of time or ambition ...i know it is a bad thing - other hand hurting too, believe, though, it is the freakin weather - WOW, was that alot of wind and rain....
once again, everyone, picture this: Lucy chasing the recycling down the street - including the huge garbage pail too - i did catch the pail, none of the recycling....this was NOT a funny sight.

Kindof down in the dumps too....everyone is going somewhere, but poor Lucy BUT that doesn't mean I'm not going to wish all my friends a terrific time on their 'holidays'...

Ok........here's the latest.........Jeremy is supposed to be in CHICAGO for his second quarter this year.......Tara is to be in London.......Tracy is to be in Rome.........Tara and Jeremy WILL be coming home for about a week or so at the end of March before their next quarter starts......I HAVE NO IDEA ABOUT VISITING LONDON/ROME in late June.......Jess graduates in June.........

Cleaning? It's not looking good!......my younger brother's family is going to Germany....last night, my oldest brother decided to go with his wife.......Lynn & Keith will be there (that's so cool!) .............dad's onboard......still no mom ........tracy & pals will still be there for one night before she has to go back home.......also, I have to plan Jessica's HS soccer parents meeting for next Monday.......other than that, we're completely ready to go.......

We still haven't planned the rest of our trip this summer.....I may change it up and stay at Polynesian before the cruise...still exploring my options (while I run out of money!).....actually I've been talking to Dreams Unlimited and they've been very helpful..........

We leave on Sat. We have to drive to Dayton, OH (HUGE savings). We fly out at noon and arrive in Tampa (another huge savings!) at 2:00. It's about an hour drive to WDW.

Sorry, how far is Dayton from you? I'm all about saving money on flights....I've traveled to Baltimore and Newark to save........also, when we go to Hamburg, we're going to JFK for the first time!

Dayton is about 3 1/2 hours. It is north of Cincinnati. It's a small airport, but is well cared for because it is where Wright-Patterson Airforce Base is. Great views of men in uniforms!

We are now leaving tomorrow as soon as school is over. With the pending weather, we want to be at the airport! If they delay/cancel out flight that is one thing, but missing it is another! Our flight isn't until noon on Sat. so that gives us a lot of flexibility!

I will check the weather tomorrow morning, because it 'ain't' looking too promising tonight - things always look better in the morning, right?

Just hope we don't need to worry about snowstorms when we go to Florida in July....I would be really angry!

Mark was giving the kids the little "there was a snowstorm in Florida" routine the other day (referring to Blizzard Beach). They look at him like he is so stupid.........wait! Never mind!

The car is packed (with the exception of my "beauty aids"....I know what a waste, they don't work!) Now it's up to the weather what the plan for the day is tomorrow!
