I think it was Julie that mentioned FL weather, when it says chance of rain or something.. it really means?? I forget... so what does it mean when it says "Scattered T-Storms" ??? 3 days already show this for my trip Fri does this mean it will def rain part of those days? Does the chance of precipitation really mean it is a much bigger chance? I cant recall how you explained it on a show. THANKS!

I am not the podcast team but it means it could be raining on one side of the park and not the other. Right now there are a lot of brush fires here in Central FL. Rain would be welcomed.

The weather in central Florida is usually pretty steady.

The forecast for a summer day usually sounds like this......

Hot, humid and sunny with a chance of afternoon thunderstorms.

Now...just because there is rain in the forcast, it doersnt mean everywhere or that it might rain all day.

You might be in Adventureland where it is dry and sunny and in Tommorrowland it might be a downpour.

The other good news is that our rain usually doesnt last long. It can be torrential, but it's usually short lived. It's rare for us to have a full rainy day.

Finally...the lightening in FL can get pretty intense.If you see lightening or if the thunder sounds close, you should take cover.

Get out of the pool.....put the golf club down...you know....the stuff your learned in school. Each year we have news stories of folks that dont follow these directions.

When we were there in August during a horrific storm I overhead a lady telling her young daughter to let go of the metal railing...which of course I was holding onto for dear life. I'm so glad I heard her as being from the Pacific Northwest we just don't have to worry about thunder and lightning too often.

Thanks Kevin that does help. One August trip it rained for 3 days I know its rare, but I remember it being a bummer.

I like the quick passing down pours actually. Just not the all day stuff. I REALLY REALLY need some sunshine after this winter! And lately it has been drab here in Ma. I just need SUN soo bad.

u know what's funny u say that about the lightning. I can remember when i was younger and we used to go to the water parks how upset ppl would get when they make u get out of the water due to lightning. I actually remember one time seeing a guy get kicked out of wet and wild for being irate about the weather .
