We can at least get started with functionality while we wait for their response. The name of the site can be added/changed later.

I went ahead and registered mickeymates.com so it doesn't get swiped while waiting. If the Disney legal team comes back with the flyswatter of unhappiness (aka, they say "use it and we sue"), then I'm just out $20.

This weekend I'll crack out my old code and start bringing it into the 21st century. I think my first goal will be to get registration and some sort of chat up and running, then work on converting my profile/matching/search stuff.

If you want to play around, pull up godaddy.com. In the upper right corner is Start Domain Search. Type in a domain name and hit Go, you'll see pretty quick if it's available or taken already.

I do this sometimes when I'm bored and brainstorming ideas with someone, just in case they want to put it on the web.

Actually I think the dating site is a great idea. I was on dismates but was never contacted by anyone. I did use the chat alot which I miss.
