Yeah, who cares, except for my DH. :rotfl: And I didn't even graduate from there, just went there for a year or so, but my DH is so excited that George Mason is doing so well in the basketball playoffs and wants me to be equally excited, so I jokingly told him that if they won the game today that I would post a DIS thread that I went there. He thought that was pretty funny--and then they they went on to win, so here I am! :lmao:

So his old school, UCLA is going to the final 4's, along with mine...will be interesting in this house, huh? Except I still don't care. I need to at least pretend to care!!! :cool1:

So who are you all rooting for?

It's always exciting when the college you went to or rooting for makes it into the final four. :cool1:

Since my college, U of Arkansas, didn't make it I'll have to root for another SEC team either LSU or (hopefully) Florida.

Congrats from a die hard Uconn fan!

My DH though is so upset that we are not allowed to watch anymore college basketball unitl next season!

My alma mater, Boston College, is out (in basketball) but I'm more interested in hockey and the Eagles ARE going to the Frozen Four :woohoo:

That GM/UConn game was exciting and I kind of like the "Cinderella team" thing....congrats to George Mason!

I went to GMU, too! LOL... for a year... then I transferred to another University. :teeth: Its still kind of exciting since I live and work in the area. DH told me they were in the final four this afternoon. My response? I didn't even know they had a basketball team!! :rotfl:

I went to George Mason also! Well, not as a student, but still...

Actually, I lived in Fairfax, VA for almost 8 years, and spent a lot of time avoiding trouble within walking distance of that school, as well as attending numerous events there.

GO umm......what's the nickname again? :D

I went to James Madison, but I will root for George Mason. That was quite an amazing game! :thumbsup2

Beats me! :confused3 :rotfl2:

I don't think that anyone in the country knew they had a basketball team. :rotfl:

Yeah, it was quite a game for sure, even if a person didn't care about the teams at all. I kept covering my eyes. I can't take close games even when I don't really care who wins. My 6yo was rooting for U Conn and had a fit when they lost, esp when we were screaming for George Mason. :teeth:

llij, love the pic of your baby! :)

DH's from CT so he was sad to see UConn lose but I think it's amazing that GM is in the Final Four!! I went to Providence College, the alma mater of the GM coach Jim Larranaga. I'd be rooting for GM hands down if they were not playing Florida since Billy Donovan is also a PC grad :confused3

I, too, went to George Mason (quite a few years ago) and find it exciting that they are going to the Final Four.

BTW, they are the Patriots.

 :cool1: :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :bounce:

I didn't say how many years ago I went there... mid 80's. :rotfl2:

Wow, that's great!! I have such fond memories of my days at PC (I graduated in 1998). It is such a special place :) Sounds like your sons are making the most of their experiences....congrats to the one that made Friars Club....that's a very nice accomplishment :thumbsup2 I minored in poli sci and thought the department was great! I still remember the day my parents dropped me off at McVinney Hall....I met some of my best friends at PC.... DH and I were married at St. Dominic Chapel a year and half ago....so many nice memories.....hope your sons continue to have great experiences :)

A little footnote: as the tradition continues, DS 2004 is dating his DGF, PC Class of 2006! And BOTH DGF's parents are PC grads (1979 and 1980)..is that something....(they named their first son Dominic....) ::yes::
When all the kids come to our home in MA...all we hear is Friar this and Friar that...all PC talk all day and all night...too funny. :woohoo:
I will say DH (UCONN) always likes to bring up BB all the time...that seems to shut them up for a time being...ugh... :rolleyes2
Then of course there is Ryan Gomes now playing for the BOSTON CELTICS ::yes::

St. Dominic's for your wedding must have been HEAVENLY!!! :bride: :groom:

Nice to have met you!!!! :teeth:
