Just curious I know most of us sell on Ebay.

So I was wondering what is the biggest or craziest thing you have sold on Ebay

For me I sold a Sikorsky S-65 helicopter like this one...

But mine was special it was the helicopter used in the movie Full Metal Jacket.

It was sold to a company in Tampa that runs a haunted house the copter is now suspended in a tree.

I showed you mine whats yours...:rollin

I tried to sell used bubblegum from the Diamondbacks one time but eBay said I needed a certificate of authenticity to post it. Do you have any idea how hard it is to get one of those certificates for used items like gum? It's harder that getting express written consent from the commissioner of Major League Baseball and the Arizona Diamondbacks to rebroadcast game highlights.

Last year we sold a 1969 Cougar XR-7 Convertible with 235,000 miles on it that I had bought brand new. It was not in running condition and required towing. I did not have the $12K available to get it restored and there was (a) no way to get it to Florida from Virginia, and (b) no place to store it once I got it here. The buyer was from Northern New Jersey.

I tried to sell my dh once, but had no bidders. oh well.

Seriously, I don't think I have sold anything really unusual. Just the normal stuffs.

The most horrible thing I ever sold was stolen property!

Ok, now I was not the one that stole it! Please read on...

My ex-roommate got wasted one night and decided to
crawl up a flagpole at a local hotel... when he came down
so did their 12 X 18 foot American Flag...

He moved and owed me a TON of money when he left...
but he left the flag and some other items like old clothes...
I didn't have the courage to take it back to the hotel...
I knew where it came from because he told me, and
it had been a couple of years in between this time...
so I put it on ebay. I only made about $35 on it...
and I kinda felt bad... so being that it was right after
9-11 I donated the money to 9-11 charities...

Funny how it is now almost 3 years later and he asked
for his clothes back recently but he never even thought
of the flag! (I ended up giving his old clothes to Salvation
Army - I figured he would've wanted his clothes much
sooner if he was going to want them at all... but he
had put on SO much weight, there was NO way he
would've fit into them anyway!)

Okay, am I the only one wondering about this???

Ed, where the heck did you get a helicopter from?

that was my first thought..followed by this one..where the heck did you store a helicopter while waiting for it to be sold?..lol!
Lynn

The storage part is easy. First you fill the chopper with gas. Second you tie a string to the end of it. Third, you start the chopper and let it float. NOTE: Tie other end of string to something strong otherwise you have to chase your chopper. The only tricky part about this is making sure the auction ends before the gasoline does.

Once he sold the helicopter, ask him how they moved it....you just won't believe it!!

But that is his story to tell..

I sold a Russ troll doll that looked like the grim reaper. He was white, not flesh tone and carried a scythe (sp?).

How did you know the Troll's name was Russ? Oh and were there two other Trolls named Bill and Ted that went with that set? If so I might have bid on that.

:teeth: He had a sticker with his name on his foot (must have made walking awkward). ;)

I had that same problem once with a piece of toilet paper. How the toilet paper got my name on it I'll never know.

Jeff

I thought Trina marked everything in the house that you were allowed to use with your name

Donna does in our house I'm just lucky I have my own toilet paper :teeth:

But I heard if you mark it with a sharpie it could give your butt a rash so be careful with what you wipe.

I listed these just to see if someone would but them:

The coffin-shaped pin cards from the DLR Haunted Mansion Event pins.

Sold every one of them with multiple bids.
