Hey guys Kayla could use some prayers!

I just saw a post from Kayla on the Community Board that her 5 year old nephew, Gavin, was run over by a lawn mower. He was airlifted to the hospital. She hasn't heard anything yet. If you could spare a prayer for him, I know if would help!

I don't know the extent of the injuries yet
I DO know he has a broken leg
and that his brother who is 14 was operating the mower so he could use some PD too

I know
his brother and I are really close
he is a very sensitive kid who takes everything on himself

I hope to get ahold of him lately cause i don't want him Lost inthe
shuffle

he is gonna need some major TLC himself

Okay I FINALLY got ahold of someone

the brother who was driving the tractor

Gavin was not listening to his brother (typical 5 yr old)

somehow fell off the tractor and it ran over him

Crushing his Femur
it is broke and twisted

he is heavily medicated right now for pain

I don't know but am assuming that they had to or will have to operate on his leg

oh and to add to it Yesterday was his 5th birthday

What a way to celebrate

Something very similar happened to my cousin and his son. The son was 5, getting ready to start school and they were hauling hay. Son was sitting on the front of the wagon and his dad was driving. They were going down a hill when the safety chain on the wagon let go and the wagon came unhitched. The fully loaded wagon crashed into the back of the tractor, breaking both of the 5 year old's legs. It was horrible, and no one's fault, just a freak thing, but my cousin felt awful.

The good news...now 15 years later, my second cousin is a hard-working, fun-loving, engineering major at UT, who still spends his whole summers working on the farm.
