I have had cramps for little over a year and I get them once or twice a month. I have also had discharge for about 6 or 7 months and I get discharge every day.

one time i wiped and found a huge red stain, but nothing was in the toilet. could that have been my period?

also, my mom doesn't even know that I know what a period is, so ho should I tell her?
and another thing, my mom got me a pack of pads, but I needed them for the discharge. So what should I say happened to them(remember she doesn't know that I know what discharge is).

this is called spotting. it happens before your period. you'll probably get it soon.
just curious, how old are you?

you need to talk to your mom. if she bought you pads she knows you know what a period is. just tell her 'hey, mom, i think i'm about to start my period. i've been spotting.' i know its kinda embarrassing, but it happens to all women. seriously, its nothing to be weirded out by or ashamed of, its just part of life.

If you're worried about using up all of your pads while you're spotting you can always just get lighter pads that are made for that.

So after i realized i had gotten my period i looked for her pads but i couldnt find any so i didnt tell her i had it and i said..


"Mom.. where are the pads?"
"Oh do you mean panty liners?"
"No.. pads."
"DID YOU GET YOUR PERIOD?!"
"Yup.. sooo.. where are the pads?"

it's almost my time again.... sorry for sharing that but when u have a period it happens for 3-7 days and i wait about 22 days for the next one!

Don't worry about it. Talk to your mom. Its natural. Every girl goes through it!

When I got mine, I was hesitant to tell my mom. When I got it, I waited 3 days because I was in denial that I had gotten it. After the 3rd day my stomach hurt really bad and I was like, "Um, hey mom. I think I started something." And then yeah.

As much as a pain it is, don't let it ruin your life.

I was just about the same age, a little younger &+ I said that exact same thing. Lol. As for talking to your mom, you best just let it out and get it over with. It would be easier on you and her, plus if she never knew you had it, then she may take you to a doctor once you get older and be like: "Hey, my daughter's 17+ and hasnt had her period." (I have to stop thinking. )

You guys started you periods about a year before me, i started when i was 14

You shoudl just tell your mum, she'll understand because at one point it happened to her. Just act normal and ask her to buy some pads.

I'll tell you about the day I got My period:
It was the day my sister was getting released form the hospital because of surgery. I woke up with cramps, but thought it was just because I slept all night on the floor!
I decided to follow my mom and sister to the x-ray room. I was a little it behind them so I took a different elevator than them. I had MAJOR cramps waling to the x-ray room. I decided to go back to the room. Whoah, now that was painful, walking all the way to the room. So when I got back to the room, Dad was still sleeping, and I tried to go back to sleep, but I couldn't. I had to go to the bathroom so I went. I went to wipe myself, and saw blood all over the toilet paper. I though I broke my ******!!!!!!!!
Then I told my mom when she got back and she told me what it was and she got me a pad. End of story.........

Now, my cycle is of 33 days or more.......

i was never nervous about telling my mom, because my first started during the night. all i did was ask her where she wanted my pj pants and held them up for her to see. then she told me where she keeps supplies and that was it

i was 12 when i started mine and i told my mom that i had started and she got me an pad. now its normal to me and it doesn't bother me. luckily i have already had mine this month meaning i wont be on for my holiday yey!!!
