Hey Poohbear123 we made it through okay also up here in Broward County. No damage on our street though we havent ventured out yet past our street. We lost power three times but it came up fairly quickly. They MUST have done some upgrading in our neighborhood when they did the repairs after Frances. We always go out during these things and lets face it if a bunny passes gas we go out in our neighborhood. Im actually shocked we still have power. I stood outside for a bit last night and watched 7 transformers blow up....ya know the pretty blue glow LOL. Im glad to hear you came through okay also. Im wondering how our friends farther up the state faired.

We're still waiting for the worst of it in NFla.

I woke up to find a tree leaning against a power pole across my 500' long driveway. If it was a couple of feet lower, I could not have made it in to work this morning. It's probably inevitable that it comes down & takes the lines out. Bummer.

It all depends on where the storm makes it's north turn. Along the big bend area, it's probably going to be a long day. We may or may not get strong tropical storm winds. Most certainly, thunderstorms and maybe tornadoes.

It's happening here right now.........lots of wind and the rain is not to bad as of yet, but the weatherman says we could have 6-8 hours of this. The wind is really blowing hard, the electic has flickered twice but so far so good..........once it exits here FL should be done, unless this crazy thing heads towards the panhandle via the gulf, I pray not.
Will keep you posted as long as I have the internet..........

I'm near Tampa and it's blowing like CRAZY! Raining also. We lost one of the screens on our pool enclosure and I'm sure that's not the end of it.

As long as we don't lose power -- no A/C and no computer would be the pits (haha).

Oh, and also, my middle name is JEANNE!!! Go figure...

South Fl seems to have come through all right.

Right now in CNN they have they mayor of Orlando, Buddy Dyer on by phone and he says that Orlando is doing better this one since it seems as if much came down in the first two so there is less to come down this time. But he also said that about 1/3 of the residents are without power. Given that, it might take time to hear from anyone in Orlando.

Still just getting rain and some wind here in Jacksonville. They keep saying the "higher" gusts won't hit until 400pm or later. Hopefully, the winds won't be any stronger then a typical thunderstorm. The hurricane watch has been dropped for Jacksonville. We are now in a tropical storm warning. Hopefully the power will not go out. My dad is scheduled to return from San Diego tomorrow.

We made it. I have water coming in through the wall into the garage area.

My husband is still at work at Orlando International since last night and won't be home until tomorrow. Airport will remain closed until tomorrow morning.

Lots of wind and flooding. Lights are on, however, they are flickering on and off.

Glad to see everyone made it through with minimal damage! We had to cut our trip two days short and drive to Tampa International to get home yesterday morning, but were grateful just to get out of Jeannes' way!

Checking in from Delray Beach in Southern Palm Beach County, and things weren't really that bad here. I lost power at about 9:15 last night, but miraculously got it back at about noon today!!!!! I'm just soooooooooooo happy that this part of the county didn't get hit as bad as it did during Frances. Boy, I'll tell you, I really was terrified last night!!! Hearing all of that howling wind outside the windows of my house (and coming from a Cat. 3 Hurricane, no less) , I had reason to be frightened!!!! But, I got power back much sooner than anticipated, and hopefully this is the last one of the season!!!

I can't take any more of this!!!!!

Another S. Floridian that came through OK. Boy were we LUCKY AGAIN. I sure hope this is it for the season, but they said on the TV that there could be up to 3 more before the season is over.......
