As I'm sure you all know, the season premiere is NEXT WEEK:Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Does anyone want to guess what the call from Africa is about? Personally, I don't think Luka (sp?) will dies, but I bet one of the other Drs there does......

Anyone know what gonna happen?

SmilingMouse

I suspect that Carter is going to use LOTS of Gamma's money to help fund the agency.

I agree, Lucas' not going to be the one to die. But I suspect that it's going to prompt Carter to return (and give him the opprotunity to help financially).

I'm looking forward to the premier.

I have read some spoilers if you really want to know..........;)

please spill!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Episode 2 of the new season...

07/28 - The second episode set in Africa, filmed at the same time as last year's season finale. Carter goes back to the Congo to find Luka's body. On the plane, he meets Steve, who works for the Embassy. Steve is drunk, and won't leave Carter alone until he's told the reason for the trip: a friend's been murdered. At the airport, he gives Carter his business card. Gillian is waiting for John at the airport, and gives him a hug. Depressed, she later jokes that she would like a gun to kill herself. Luka is thought to be dead because no one has heard from the people taken captive at the clinic in three days. Luka's name is on a list of those dead. Carter questions, did anyone actually see the body? No one has. He is shown Luka's bloody identification badge, and told that it is not possible to get the body for burial until the end of the war. Luka's life had been spared by a mother, who gives him a cross to wear and insists he's a priest. He's seen almost all of the others shot and killed. He's sick with malaria and delirious, hearing voices and Barber's "Agnus Dei". Chanting prayers and crying, very much out of it, he leads a group of killers in a profound religious experience. The killing stops. Steve, uncomfortable that Carter actually sought him out for help, advises him to offer a gratuity to "buy" Luka's body back. He takes Steve's advice, and withdraws $20,000 from the bank. Gillian takes Carter to meet an acquaintance on the negotiating team: Debbie, a hot blonde who "isn't Carter's type" when Gillian notices his attraction and tries to play Matchmaker. Debbie informs Carter that if they're caught bribing the enemy, they'll wind up with their heads mounted on sticks. She won't help, but suggests he accompany her on a mission to rescue the wounded, because perhaps someone in the area might have information. In the truck, Gillian works on Debbie, suggesting Carter's kinda cute. Debbie denies her interest. Later, Debbie offers Carter a beer. He's listening to Les Nubians on his Apple I-Pod™ while a guy in the background roasts a goat over a fire... He defends his type. She rants about America's selective interest in humanitarian effort. He soul-searches out loud. She stares into his eyes, suddenly overtaken with the will to do anything he asks. She changes her mind about helping. She bribes the Mai Mai to give them a ride to Kasese the next day. She bribes them with Carter's I-Pod™. They find Luka holed up in a run-down hut, curled up in the corner on the grass floor, unrecognizably dirty and sick. The woman who gave him the cross, and her daughter, are with him. Source: AintItCool News
05/12 - Carter, who recently heard that Luka was dead (via the phone call Neela took in the first episode), is back in Africa trying to get a hold of his friend's body in order to bring it back to the US. Carter gets the help of Gillian (the nurse from 9.22 Kisangani). During this frantic search, which will have Carter carry a LOT of money, we learn that Luka was "saved" because, while delusional due to malaria and a crucifix hanging around his neck, he chanted and prayed. The bad ones believe he is a priest. Luka is barely alive and is sadly witnessing the killing of the people that worked with him. Source: Izzy

And episode 3

Episode 10.03: Dear Abby
Airdate: Fall 2003

08/04 - Trouble in paradise for Pratt and Chen. Pratt (Mehki Phifer) will be back in the ER, but he’ll be less than thrilled when Chen invited him to dinner – and her parents are sitting at the table. The disgust is mutual. Source: Kristin on E!Online
08/03 - We meet Jing Mei’s parents, and they do not approve of her relationship with Dr. Pratt. And Abby has to deal with a lot of medical sh*t, including the inept new resident, Morris. Source: FilmJerk.com
08/03 - Luka is brought in on a gurney. Abby really wants to see him-- so badly that she is torn between doing her job, and chasing him up the hallway. Romano is also back, with a hook, not his prosthetic of choice. His insurance wouldn't cover the "Utah Arm" unless the hook interferes with his work, and it does. It makes him angrier, and especially defensive when coworkers comment. It makes little girls stare. He visits Weaver in her office to complain, and lets the hook drag across her antique table on the way out the door, leaving a scratch. The nurses circulate a petition, and stage a walkout, which amounts to a reeeaally long break. Romano wants to fire or suspend everyone. Abby absorbs the extra work due to their shortness of staff. Connie tells Romano: "You're the one who's going to be leaving." Carter breaks up with Abby via a letter. She balls the letter up, tosses it to the trash can, and misses. Frank takes the initiative to pass it around. Abby is given a stool sample in a plastic baggie, and a lot of unwanted advice: Edna calls Carter a putz, and remarks that too bad she didn't dump him first. Pratt tells her it's Carter's loss. Jerry joins in the gossip. Romano attempts to read the letter out loud in front of everyone, but Abby snatches it out of his hand before he can finish. Weaver comes down to speak to Romano about inappropriate behavior. Abby takes out her job frustrations on her coworkers and patients. At one point, a 15-year old boy who has been shot by his mother is brought in. When the boy's brother tries to cover for their mother, Abby tries to convince the family to do the right thing. Abby herself was about to do the wrong thing -- ready to crack the patient's chest open herself against protocol, and is told about it by Susan. The boy dies. Medical student Nick Cooper has an asthma attack. Neela gives him 10 times more medication than he needs. He goes into cardiac arrest, and Abby has to shock him with the paddles to return his heartbeat to normal. "Coop" does not want to go home. He wants to help Susan with a patient. He wants to have a few beers with Pratt after work. Pratt has plans with Chen. Chen has plans of her own, and surprises Pratt with her parents: waiting for them at the table, at an upscale Chinese restaurant. This does not go over well with anyone. Pratt wants to run away. Mr. Chen makes fun of him in Mandarin, and doesn't hide his disapproval. Dorset (remember him from last season?) makes an appearance downstairs, to amuse Elizabeth and save a life. In a subsequent episode we find out Doreset and Lizzy are dating. Source: AintItCool News
07/25 - The main "patient" story involves a 15-year-old named Blair who was shot. Romano gets his new arm which will consist of a hook. He's unpleased by it as it will be of no use for his job. He also learns that the hospital insurance won't cover a myoelectric device which would be best for him. Abby is swamped especially since most of the other nurses are not happy at the possibility that part-time nurses be hired. They go for "coffee" and as they take a long long time to come back, Romano decides that if they aren't back soon, they'll all be fired. We meet new residents. The main one is called JT. He seems to be the most efficient of them even though he needs an inhaler. Something that happens to him during the episode has him sitting on a bed puffing on a nebulizer. Neela and Morris, a new resident, try to help him but only to give him a too big dosage which sends him in cardiac arrest. With Abby's help, they save him. Later, JT is working on patients as the ER is behind a lot and he is in good-enough shape to work according to him. Abby gets a letter from Carter saying that Luka should be sage in America and that she is probably wondering why John is not there as well... "it's not you, it's me..." We learn later, from an old and almost deaf nurse, that Carter dumped Abby. Luka is seen in the episode lying on a gurney. Everyone in the ER knows about the letter since Frank was able to take it. Pratt meets Chen for dinner. A little surprise awaits him, her parents, who were supposedly shopping near by, are there. Lewis, Corday, Malik, and Gallant also appear in the episode. Source: Izzy
07/13 - JT is a new med student/resident. He has asthma and will suffer a medical crisis due to Neela (check episode 10.01). Dr. Romano is back and as charming as ever. He decides to implement new policies that have the nurses want to start a war against him. He now has a hook instead of the hand that got cut off. Susan and Abby have an ethics dilemma regarding a patient. Source: Izzy
07/08 - One guest role in this episode will be named "JT." More spoilers soon. Source: Izzy

I found more and will post if you guys want, but I will wait and see if you would rather keep some surprises.:p

Thanks for the spoilers!! I can't wait for the season to start! Give us more!!!!!!!!(and yes, I do peak at my Christmas presents before Christmas too!!)

OK, here are more I found. Deeper into the season, the spoilers are less detailed but you can get an idea of how the season progresses....

Episode 10.04: Shifts Happen
Airdate: Fall 2003

08/09 - On these shifts we have injured street racers, a kid who swallowed a quarter, a motorcycle accident, and a man who goes spontaneously mute.
08/09 - Abby is turned down for a loan, and Jerry tells her she'll never be approved for one with her lousy credit rating. She then tries to get a cash advance on a credit card. Gillian stops in to post a notice for Luka who's apparently selling some of his things. She tells Abby he misses his friends and that she should drop by.
08/03 - Neela thinks Chen's on her case because she feels she is going after Pratt. (and Chen and Pratt have apparently broken up). Chen informs her she's hard on all the medical students, especially the females because its for their own good. Both Pratt and Weaver make some lousy judgement calls during traumas. Elizabeth reveals to Abby that she and Dorset have been dating.

Episode 10.05: Out of Africa
Airdate: Fall 2003

08/14 - The title refers to Kovac coming back to the ER and not to Carter being back from Africa. Carter is again a no-show in this episode. It's Halloween which explains why a young Henry, with his mother and a baby, shows up dressed as Harry Potter. The baby fell out of a cart and hit his head. Paula, the mother, seems not be all "there" (note that she's been seeing a therapist and seems to be going through divorce proceedures). Paula will make a life-altering decision. Samatha Taggart, the new nurse reports for her first shift. Her son, Toby, also drops by and he's really interested in medical supplies and maybe more... Toby and Kovac talk about Africa and Luka's possible return there. Weaver wants to set some guidelines to Kovac's return in the ER. Triage is overloaded of patients, making Romano as nice and happy as always. Kovac sends Neela, Galant, and Coop to help out in triage. Kovac's decision helps clean triage fastly, making Romano surpisingly nice and happy, unlike usual. ;) Patients include a 40-year-old homeless woman, a woman who throws up, a six-year old also throwing up, a man with a twisted knee, someone with a chest and arm rash. Abby, Lewis, Pratt, Corday, Dorset, Morris, and Frank also appear in the episode.
08/09 - Sam's son, Hunter, is now named Toby.
08/03 - We meet County's newest nurse, Samantha "Sam" Tanner, in her 20's, and single mom to 9-year-old Hunter. She's got spunk and she's got sass. She's not impressed with Romano's method of running the show. Guess who's back in med school. Gallant offers her his notes. :-) She's doing her surgical rotation and is sent down to the ER immediately for a consult where Romano promptly humiliates her in front of all. Luka, however, is quite pleased she's taken this step. He likes how she looks in her lab coat. :-) Abby and Elizabeth hang out after work: dinner and a childish prank.

Episode 10.06: The Greater Good
Airdate: Fall 2003

09/16 - Pratt deals with a woman who thinks she is going into labor after 24 weeks of pregnancy. The woman doesn't want to have the baby so soon especially since the baby will surely be sick and have to go through hell since it'll be prematured. Pratt will be torned between following policy and breaking the rules. Romano wants everyone to tick off a few more boxes on their forms and find ways to get more money. Lewis gives Hollander (Bob Newhart) a puppy. A patient who was treated before asks to see doctor Carter; Sam answers that Carter doesn't work here anymore. We know for sure that the following will also appear in the episode: Kovac, Frank, Chen, Jerry, Abby, Neela, Malik, Corday, Coop, and Weaver. Source: Izzy
09/01 - Is it “The Greater Good” to donate organs? To keep a very premature baby alive on machines? To medicate a kid with behavior problems? It’s up to the ER docs to help their patients decide.

From Daisy:
Oliver is a patient who isn't really happy with the care at County General. He wants to talk to the doctor who stiffed him, our loved John Carter! Sam says that Carter doesn't work there anymore. Jaws drop open! Oliver wants to see Carter's boss. Sam informs him that she doesn't work there anymore.

Luka just finished treating Zack, the troubled kid of the week. Sam approaches him with a woman in a weelchair. She asks if he can clear some beds, they are getting backed up again. Luka turns to Lester, who is treating a patient the next bed. Luka asks what is the patient's story, Lester says wound check and Luka tells him to do it in the waiting room, they need the bed. For the patient, you know, not for som va vaaa voom voooom action! Luka gestures to Sam, the bed in Curtain Three is hers. Sam tells Luka, do that ten more times I will marry you. No! Don't listen to her, Luka! I will marry you without demanding ten more beds!

This one is so sad. Denny is a 28 years old pregnant woman. She arrives at County by cab but doesn't make the doors, she holds her abdome in pain. Sam talks to Frank outside, sees the scene and goes help Denny. She says she thinks she is having a miscarriage, Sam aks how long, she says 24 weks. Sam asks if it is her first pregnancy and Denny says this is the first one to last this long. Sam knows this is not a good sign.

Once inside ER, Prats does a ultrasound on Denny, she is very nervous. Pratt tells her ther eis a heartbeat, the amniotic fluid index is good and there is excellent feal movement. Denny asks if the baby is good and Pratt explains baby is fine but she is dilated, three centimeters. She tells him she had two miscarriages, she was supposed to start bed rest next week and she can't go trhough another miscarriage. Pratt says he is going to give her some Medicine so she won't go into labor. She is worried, aks if she is in labor, he says not if he can prevent it, the baby still needs a few more weeks before he is done.

Do you know what it is called, sweethearts? Anvil.

Soon Pratt tells Denny that it didn't work, her contractions are increasing, her cervix is dilating. She can't believe she is having another miscarriage, her husband went to Seattle to work, wnated to stay with her and she told him to go. Pratt explains her that she is not miscarriage, she is in labor and she is going to have the baby. Denny says she is only 24 weeks and Pratt replies he is sending her to OB, they can handle a premiee delivery there. She reminds him he told her the baby was not ready and he says 24 weeks babies can survive. But the thing is, Denny doesn't want a premiee, even though Pratt tells her the NICU handles babies like that all the time. But Denny is not convinced at all. She makes clear she does not want a baby this way, babies like that have brain damage, her sister-in-law, baby was sick for six months, mother was in NICU everyday and the baby still died.

Did I tell you that Denny was in labor, right? Well, Pratt is not deciding anything alone. Before he told Denny she was having the baby, he talked to Susan, told her about his patient and that she was in early labor, but cervical dilation has progressed from 3 to 6 on terb and mag. Susan asks about fetal distress and he replies that it looks good, heartbeats are good, good variability. Susan sugests repeat the terb, but Pratt explains that she is tachy.

Ok, back to Denny. Righ after she says she doesn't want a baby that way, Pratt goes to the admin desk and tells Susan Denny doesn't want the baby. Abby is around and Susan tells her that the baby is 24 weeks and when Abby asks the weight Pratt says 520 grams on the ultrasound. Abby tells them that 24 wweks and 500 grams, that is the hospital's viability threshold and Susan says that Pedes is going to ressuciate the baby, mother doesn't have a choice.

Luka is also around and questions that they are going to spent half a millions dollars keeping one baby alive while they shut down the lead eradication program. He adds that he has admmited three kids for chelation that week.

Romano (yes they are all around) says why stamp out lead poisining when you can shoot your wad on one little gorker who can enjoy a lifetime of special ed. Then he says, good thinking Pratt

Luka is called away and Pratt asks what he is supposed to do, he gets two attendings telling him different things. Susan explains to him that hospital's policy is there for a reason, first he learns the rules, then he learns when to break them. She asks what does he thinks is in Denny's best interest. Pratt confess to Susan that he is afraid Denny's best interest isn't in her baby's interest.

Pratt talks to Denny againd and she asks what is the medical consensus. He just answers hat he wants to do what is best for her and for the baby and Denny says again that she doesn't want the baby if the baby is going to be premature. He asks her to speak to a neonatologist, asks for ten minutes, she agrees.

Vargas, the neonoatalogy guy looks for Pratt, asks about Denny. He cheks her bed, it is empty, he tells Lily (Lily!) to check the women's restroom for him.

But Denny left.

Pratt goes after Luka, who is talking to Sharon, Zack's mother. He says she left, Luka asks who, Pratty says my pregnant patient. Pratt asks if Luka talked to Denny, Luka says no, Pratt is pissed says Denny took Luka's advice and left. They are arguing now and Luka replies that leaving was always Denny's prerrogative. That is when a cab driver starts yelling that he needs a doctor. Both Pratt and Luka go towards the man, still arguing. Pratt arguments that the fact it was Denny's prerrogative doesn't mean it was the best thing for Denny to do. He also says that Luka is supposed to be teaching him there. Luka snaps back, he is trying but Pratt isn't listening to him.

They find Denny bleeding in the back seat in the middle of a pool of blood and amniotic fluid. She tells Pratt that she thought she could make St. Joe, but the baby is coming. They are in a hurry there, Denny is looking wifty. Pratt asks Luka if that happening to Denny was in her best interest. Luka replies that Denny wouln't have left if Prat'd done what she asked. Pratt is pissed with Luka and with himself.

That is the last Denny spoile, it's long.

Denny is in labor, Pratt tells her to not push. Lots of blood there, Sam is helping Luka and Pratt and Neela and Malik (Malik!) come in with a neonatal warme and a nenonatal resusciation equipment. Baby's feet is out, Luka tells Sam to type and cross Denny for four units of blood. Denny says it is too soon, Pratt tells her one last big push and the baby slips out. It is tiny, covered in blood, a boy who is alive but is not crying. He is extremely premature.

Denny's monitor alarms and Sam helps Luka do deliver the placenta. A lot of blood follows the placenta, covers Sam. The bleeding is worse and Luka tries to stop it compressing the uterus from inside and out, while Pratt starts bagging the baby. Pratt asks if they have a pulse and Malik says it is slow, under a hundred. Neela wants to know if she should start compressions, but Pratt tells her to bag him up first. That's when Luka says no, they need to weight the baby before they do anything else, less than 500 grams they stop. Pratt orders Neela to draw up some epi and get ready with the tube. Denny says no tube, says please. Luka tells Pratt to not tube the baby until he gest a weight.

Baby is 506 grams.

Luka leaves. Denny asks what is happening, asks why did he (Pratt) save him (the baby). She looks away from Pratt and her eyes fall on the baby warmer, baby is covered by dozens of wires, tubes. Pratt says it looks worse than it is, explains that the tube in the baby's mouth helps him to breathe, the catheters in the umbilical cord are for fluids, nutrition, medication, but underneath all that baby looks good for a 24 weeker. Denny doesn't say a word and Pratt says really. She is horrified, fighting of tears, which is not the reaction Pratt was expecting.

Sam is taking Denny's vitals and the NICU staff is ready to take the baby upstairs. Pratt tells Denny that she lost a lot of blood and needed a transfusion, but she will be fine. He wheels both the warmer and the ventilator closer to Denny's bed, says the baby is going to the NICU. She says good. He says the baby is doing better. She says just take him away. He says Denny. She says please. He does.

Pratt tells Luka to stay away from his patients, from now on he will present to another attending. He walks away and Malik gives him the premiee's babygram.

Later Pratt looks a tiny babygram then looks into the NICU. Denny is watching the baby in the warmer. She is on a wheelchair. Pratt steps closer to her, but she doesn't break her vigil. He says he has baby's first x-rays, heart and lungs look good. Denny says he is fighting. He says he told her, she should get out of her feet. Denny says she is going to stay there a little while, she doesn't want the baby to die alone. That is not what Pratt was hoping for.

End of the show.

Episode 10.07: Death and Taxes
Airdate: Fall 2003

09/12 - A soccer mom is doing drugs to keep her energy up, a young stepfather proves he’s not ready for parenthood, and Dr. Lewis visits Hollander (Bob Newhart) at his apartment. Source: FilmJerk.com
09/05 - Abby contradicts Luka's teaching. Chen gets a phone call from an embassy in China. Luka discharges a patient before he has time to undergo a test Corday wanted. The patient will need surgery. Source: Izzy
09/05 - Sam's son, Alex (previously named Toby), is back in the hospital lounge doing homework after he did something mom isn't proud of. He makes a new friend, Billy, whom he wants to invite over for Thanksgiving. Kovac seems to like Alex but Sam doesn't approve much of Kovac hanging around her son. Sam and Gallant will go to Geldin Community Hospital to check on a patient they saw before at County. Abby is on her E.R. rotation after completing her surgical one. Neela offers Abby to study together. Kovac plays teacher to some of the med students. Neela helps Chen take care of a kid that got arrested and needs suture. Lewis and Abby take care of a woman with chest pains. The E.R., surgery, and social services treat a baby. Romano humiliates people again and he says to Lewis that she ought to try it sometime as it's fun. Hollander (Bob Newhart) dies and Lewis and Chuck go to his apartment in order to find an address book to contact his family. At least two people die in the episode. The IRS flagged Lewis who believe it may be because she worked in two states. Corday, Morris, Pratt, and Gallant appear in the episode.

Thanskgiving Episode...Last of "Sweeps"

It’s Thanksgiving and it’s potluck dish night.

Morris, the other med student, is treating a patient with eye problems. The patient shows him a big bag of grass and tells him his nephew gave it to him – it’s “herbal medicine”. Morris is stunned.

Abby’s treating a patient on her own. Her patient’s bleeding out, so she pushes the call light for help, but only gets Frank. Abby calls out for help. Later, Luka tells Abby to be careful about what she says to the patient. She says she usually is, but Luka tells her not in this case. He gives her some orders to call GYN and then leaves. Abby looks a bit concerned. She later passes Romano, who asks her a medical question. She tells him she has to get to a patient who needs blood, and he tells her it’s the wrong answer. We find out this patient has HIV and needs a uterus-sparing procedure. Abby has a discussion with Coburn, asking if the patient’s HIV status is a factor in Coburn’s decision. Romano’s there and puts his oar in, and asks why they should do this. Abby says it’s because the patient want to have a baby. Romano says that maybe it’s God’s way of saying it’s a bad idea. Even if the patient has a low viral load, the child could be motherless by the age of 10. Coburn says she’ll try to do a myomectomy, but won’t make any promises to do that. Pages later, Abby’s wheeling this patient to the OR. The patient’s crying, asking if there’s still a chance. Abby tells her there’s a good chance, and promises to bring the patient’s boyfriend to her when he gets there.

Chuck’s in the ER and gives Susan some flowers. She thanks him, but she tells him to thank the dead guy at Mercy. He asks her out to dinner, but she passes. He asks if she’s OK; she’s says she’s just tired. He wants to know if she’s tired of him, but before we can get an answer, Frank butts in to tell them of an incoming patient.

Pratt and Morris deal with a patient in a traffic accident. According to the paramedic, the patient drives a Bentley and was on the phone with his lawyer when she arrived. After Elizabeth is called in, Morris decides to leave. Pratt tells him he should stay, but Morris wants to go back to his eye patient. Elizabeth asks if he’s squeamish, but Pratt says he’s just stupid. The patient doesn’t want to be treated at County, and tells them he’s calling his own doctor. Pratt tells him he can’t use his mobile and takes it away. Romano enters, and tells the patient he spoke with County’s CEO, who happens to be the patient’s former Wharton classmate. Romano tells the patient he’s working on a transfer to get him out of County. In the meantime, “You’re in good hands with Dr. Corday – I envy you”. While the patient’s being rolled way, Romano stops Pratt from following and tells him that the patient’s a big real estate developer. They argue about the patient’s condition (Romano wants to transfer him, Pratt thinks he’s not stable enough), and Romano says the only mistake he made was letting Pratt continue to practice medicine. Pratt wants to know if he’s willing to do what the patient wants, even if it jeopardizes his care. Romano starts to answer, but Pratt cuts him off and tells him he won’t sign transfer papers. Romano and another doctor later handle this patient; they have a doctor from the Mayo Clinic on standby. The patient asks if he can run in the next marathon. Pages later, the patient’s being moved to another location via private helicopter – Chuck, the doctor, a nurse and the patient are on the helipad, along with a transpo tech. The doctor asks Romano if he’s coming, but Romano really doesn’t want to, and makes the excuse that he’s very busy with other patients. Later, Neela and Romano go back up to the roof – they have the patient’s watch. The helicopter’s there, blades whirring, and Romano’s frozen to the spot. He tells Neela to take the watch and give it to the patient. The helicopter doors open and a flight nurse gets out. Chuck tells her she isn’t supposed to be there, but she tells him that dispatch sent her. He tells her that there’s only room for 2 attendants. The nurse tells him it’s her and the doctor. Chuck tells her he needs to go because it’s an insurance requirement, and tells the doctor she can’t go.

Romano tells Susan to get someone to cover for Pratt’s shift, starting tomorrow.

Romano needs some fresh air and goes to the ambulance bay, where he smells something funny. He follows the smell and finds Morris smoking some ganja. Romano takes it and stomps it out. Morris tries to explain, but Romano tells him to get inside to Admit and not to move until he comes back.
Meanwhile, Neela’s getting into the elevator after giving the watch back to the patient. The helicopter’s wobbling due to the wind. Then it abruptly lands.

The helicopter, at some point, crashes and firefighters are on scene. 10 bloody patients are led into chairs, all color-coded (based on severity of injury). Seems Abby’s directing the nurses as to where to put the patients. Neela asks Abby what to do, and Abby tells her to just start anywhere. Susan wants to know how bad the accident is. They step out into the ambulance bay, and Abby says it’s bad. Zadro (the paramedic) is sitting on the ground – he was hit in the head and is dizzy. Susan’s is fighting tears as she’s treating patients – a woman who needs to be at her granddaughter’s wedding in 2 weeks time. The patient asks if Susan’s OK, and she says it’s just the smoke. The patient’s altered and needs an airway.

Fire alarms and sprinkler systems are going off. In ICU, a patient’s blanket is on fire. He wants it off him but can’t do it because he’s in restraints. Luka puts it out. Sam’s there, putting out other fires. She wants to move the patients to the ER, but Luka says that the ER will be too busy and they shouldn’t be moved. He’s searching for a key in his pocket (I don’t know what the key’s supposed to open) but can’t find it. Sam says, “Great”.

While doing her job, Susan asks if anyone’s been pulled out alive. One of the firefighters comes by and asks Abby who’s in charge. She tells him Susan is, and he lets Susan know they put the fire out, and there’s no survivors. Abby puts her hand on Susan’s shoulder to comfort her, and tells her Luka can cover for her if she wants. Susan shakes her head. Kerry (in holiday attire) asks Susan if she’s been hurt. Susan says she’s fine. Kerry asks Susan who’s working on the shift, and she tells Kerry it’s Luka and Romano, but she doesn’t know where they are. Later, Kerry tells Susan that she’s the incident commander and shouldn’t focus her time on one patient (the altered patient who needs an airway). Susan tells Kerry about Chuck. Kerry says she’s sorry, and asks Susan if she wants to take a break. Susan can’t answer, because her patient’s breathing is getting worse.

Chuck’s brought into the ER -- Abby’s there and opens his jacket. There’s a lot of blood. Abby tells Neela to get a doc and a sonosite. Neela looks for help, but everyone’s busy. In the meantime, Abby’s trying to intubate Chuck

Luka’s in ICU and he’s wet. He’s using a fire extinguisher to put out a curtain on fire. Sam’s across the way, directing the ICU nurses. Luka calls her to help him; the fire melted a patient’s ET tube, and it’s dangling from the vent tubing. They fix the problem together, although they do seem to have a problem working as a unit.

Luka and Sam are working together on patients in ICU. Kit’s (the surgical nurse) there and has a patient who needs surgery. Luka says he’ll get it if there’s still an OR. The patient is in bad shape; he has a large abdominal wound and a haemorrhaging liver. Luka tells either Kit or Sam to keep pressure on the liver. Sam leaves, and Luka think she’s getting a surgeon. She’s not – she’s getting vicryl mesh. Scene cuts to Luka, who was hoping for a little more teamwork.

The phones are dead.

Coop treats a patient who mangled his hand with an electric carving knife. Coop tries to give the patient pain meds, but the patient says that after 10 years of marriage, he’s immune to pain (he’s joking; his wife hits him playfully when he says that). Later, the patient and his wife are both wheeled back into the ER, probably injured when the helicopter crashed. The man has chest pain and broken ribs; his wife is hypotensive and has a rigid belly. Susan tells Coop to find Elizabeth. Turns out that the couple need to go to the OR, and Kerry tells Coop to stay with Susan. Kerry’s in charge, telling Gallant, Abby, Pratt, Coop and Morris what to do. The couple are going up to the OR, and Elizabeth says the woman needs an ex-lap. Kerry’s taking care of the husband, who’s lung is collapsing. He dies.

Pratt’s working on the transpo tech who’s in bad shape – neck penetration causing right side paralysis. Kerry wants him to call surgery, but he disagrees and tells Chuny to call a radiologist. Weaver tells him again to bring the tech up to the OR, but Pratt says the patient will be dead by then. Later, Pratt argues with the radiologist WRT the best way to treat the tech. Kerry comes by and has words with Pratt. However, it turns out Pratt’s decision to call the radiologist and convince him that a shunt is the best thing to do helped save the patient.

Neela has a young patient with helium in her lungs. The patient asks if she’s going to float away, and Neela tells her she won’t, but she’ll be talking funny. Neela sets up heliox treatment for her. Neela asks Frank if there’s a bed for her patient in the pedes ICU, but there isn’t.

Romano (I think, I don’t know for sure) has made some allegations against Pratt. He tells Anspaugh that he only gets out of line once in awhile. Anspaugh thinks the allegation’s crap; if it were true, he would’ve received complaints from other attendings. Anspaugh tells Pratt he’s a victim of a traumatized man with a personality disorder. Anspaugh tells Pratt that he saw Pratt’s performance and he’s a valuable asset. Pratt shakes hands with Anspaugh and smiles. Seems Anspaugh’s married because he tells Pratt he needs to get home or his wife will kill him. Before he leaves, he praises Elizabeth.

Sam, Luka, and Alex are at a restaurant – Alex has his own Indian candle and lights it from one of the candles on the table. Alex wants French Toast (the restaurant serves an all-day breakfast), but Sam wants him to have turkey, since it’s Thanksgiving. Alex asks Luka what he prefers to eat; Luka knows he’s walking a fine line, so he tells Alex he doesn’t like French Toast. He asks Luka if he likes pancakes (he does), so Alex suggests that Sam and Luka get pancakes, he’ll get French Toast, and they’ll split some turkey sausages. Alex is using his candle to burn off the face of a pilgrim (candle, I think). Wax is dripping, and the flames are huge.

At the end of the episode, Abby treats a patient whom she first treated earlier in the day. The patient tells her a nurse never came by to give her medication, and Abby tells the patient she’s her nurse now. The patient thought Abby was her doctor; Abby says that was in the morning, now she’s a nurse. The patient says it’s a “very strange hospital”. Abby agrees. End of episode.

OK, that's what I have for now but I will keep an eye out for more! :teeth:
