Although it is based on my given and last name, it was more because family and DH use the first part as a shortened version of my nickname and a co-worker always called me DeeLo. Now I use it on other sites and forums but skip the capitals.

Actually when I first signed up, I was completely internet impaired, and used my email address. In about 5 minutes I realized that wasn't a good idea, so I made a new account. I never expected to become a regular here, so I just put something down that I could remember. Oh yeah, and I am a brewer. At the time I had a deal going to start brewing professionally, but fell through. I'm still working on plans to pro brew in the future. Just need to find the right fit. Brews Brothers llc.

I've used GoldenRose or a variant of it for many years on very different boards and places. I moved out of Texas for a while when I was in my early 20's, and people kept singing "the Yellow Rose of Texas at me." I joked that I never liked yellow roses, and someone said something like, "nah, you're not a yellow rose, anyway, you'd have to be a golden rose." I liked it, even if it wasn't originally meant in a totally flattering light ;-)

LOL Mine is not anywhere close to what people have tried to make it out to be (trust me - I've had some not so nice PM's in the past from people who thought they knew what my screen name came from and they wanted to set me straight to my wicked ways). Some people just can't take a joke I guess.

ANYWAY, my real name is LeeAnn however my family back home calls me Annie. But I tend to be a little OCD and a little anal retentive and an overplanner so a friend of mine (YEARS AGO) nicknamed me Anal Annie just as a little joke. It absolutely never occurred to me when I signed up on the DIS that it had any other meaning behind it (or that I'd still be on here all these years later).

So anyway folks - get your minds out of the gutter!!! It's all in fun!!

I read a lot of trashy romance novels as a teenager. My favorite ones were the historical ones & the word wench always got used a lot. I honestly, just love the sound of the word. It became my favorite word & then my self appointed nickname many years ago.

Originally I was the Disney freak in the house and convinced hubby to join DVC. He was not so feeling the Disney love though at the time--probably because I dragged him all over the parks-all day long! To tease him, I used his nickname "Abe" and created my log in Abe4Disney. Good news though, we no longer "commando" the parks and he loves/longs for our vacations as much as I do! So not terribly original, but it does have a good ending. Off topic though and a little more original, the family car is named "Stupid Judy."

Besides owning the home resort of the Boardwalk, i grew up in NJ where i used to go the Jersey shore and am a girl (gal) who used walk the Boardwalk a lot.
