WHY DIDN'T I LISTEN TO YOU!!!

I mean OMG!

A detailed list - sorted by category - listing what is on sale, what has a coupon, etc. He goes to the WRONG STORE! Uh, didn't you notice the stuff wasn't ON SALE!! :confused3

Somebody smack me. I was warned. :lmao:

Or this was simply a stroke of brilliance on his part? He doesn't want to go shopping so he screws it up and isn't asked to go ever again. It worked for me and all it cost me was a sweater -- and I haven't had to do laundry since!!! :thumbsup2

Ahhh yes, based on the "Cosby first night busting china gambit" ;) You know, offer to wash the dishes on your first night of marriage, and drop one! Exclaim, "Oops, I'm soo sorry honey!"

That will be that last time you will ever have to touch dishes (theoretically speaking, o' course). :goodvibes

Right now, I am looking at my dishpan hands, btw! :rotfl2: :sad2: __________________

:lmao: Considered yourself smacked!

I learned that lesson a long time ago and it's not just stores! My DH had to take a thousand dollars out of the bank once to pay for a tree removal that we were having done. I was at work when the tree people came so he takes the debit card and tries to get the money out of a debit machine. He calls me up screaming that there's no money in the bank. So I explain to him that you can't take that much money out of a debit machine and he needs to get a check from out of our desk and go to the bank to get the money. A few hours later I come home from work, the tree people are there and DH is happily watching them cut down the tree with a thousand dollars sitting in his pocket. Anyway, I go into the house and I see a box of checks sitting on our kitchen table. A box of checks from our old bank. He wrote out a thousand dollar check on a closed account, took it to our current bank and they cashed it. There were 5 boxes of good checks from our bank in that desk and he finds the one old box that some how didn't get destroyed.

So, on the same principle, if we do a chore incorrectly it will be removed from our list?

Let's see...

Fill car with water from hose - "Honey, I thought it was gas!"

Put trash in trunk of car - "You mean they don't pick it up here?"

:thumbsup2

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: That's a good one!

I learned never to sent DH for anything specific. One time I asked him to get a bag of cut lettuce--any mix but iceberg. I must have told him that 10 times! Guess what he came home with--the iceburg mix. He said there were so many to choose from and that looked the most like "regular" lettuce. Whatever....

Yep, thats my DH. The once was an episode on Everyone Loves Raymond where Raymond intentionally fouls up everything he is given to do and eventually Deborah figures this out. DH fits this mold nicely, I just give him my speech like I do my kids, "If you don't do it right the first time, your doing it over until it is done right."

I sent DH to the store to go grocery shopping with the instructions that we need EVERYTHING. He comes back with a bag and a half of groceries, no milk, no bread, just a few things to make Special K bars and that is it. That just makes me mad. I don't care if you don't like to grocery shop, I have done 99.9% of the grocery shopping for the past 16 years, one or two trips/year won't kill you!

My DH is just the opposite..he will stick exactly to the list and not deviate. So if I said get 3 cans of XXXXbrand tomatoe sauce and they were out of stock he would not think to pick up another brand. I haven't sent him to the store in a long time, but he has gone on his own to get paper towels or water if we are out.
