Have any of you ever run into friends/people you knew at your hotel or while in Disneyland and you had NO idea they were going? It's happened to me before. During my stay at DLH in 1990, my sister and I went to ride the paddle boats while my parents checked in. When we get to the entrance, the son of a friend of my mom's walks by us. We then tell my mom and she rushes to talk to them. Her friend tells us another family we knew had just left the day before. When my sister and I ride the paddle boats (same day) I see a girl from my school a grade below me. During a trip to SD Wild Animal Park we saw two different families from the swim team we were on. Totally ironic! I'm curious to hear if this has happened to anybody else. :)

For our March trip we flew in and out of Long Beach. If you've never been to that airport, it is tiny. Super tiny. When we go on the plane I heard someone say "Hannah!". I looked behind me and it was one of my daughters friends. They were sitting right behind us. I have no idea how we didnt see them at the airport.

A couple days later I had a sales rep come into my work. He was asking about my FIL, who used to own the company. I told him that we had just got back from Disneyland, and that FIL had went with us. Turns out he was there the same days as us, stayed at PP, conc. level, just like us. He was one floor below us. So, we didnt see him while we were there, we sure could have!

Yep, my DH and I were in one of the stores on Main Street. This was right when we got married, and we saw a friend from High School in the same store! It was weird!

Most of my DH's family lives in So. California so we always run the risk of running in to them. His Grandma lives only about 15 minutes from DL. But she usually knows were going. The rest of his family I don't care to run in to! LOL

yeah but the people I saw I would have rather not lol...i thought..of all the people in the world why the heck them :lmao:

we ran into my mom's childhood neighboor, my sister ran into her friend...hmn we met up with our cousin.. we did not they were going until a day before we left... it was very odd trip

I'm from the San Francisco Bay Area, and I've NEVER been to Disneyland when I HAVEN'T seen someone I know! It's just plain weird. I can't believe the odds of not only being there the same time, but also being in the same part of the park at the same time! :confused3

It's uncanny how often this happens to us!

We run into students all the time!!! We've run into students (and regular people!) in both Florida and California, at airports, theme parks, outlet malls, and the most unbelievable of all---in a freeway rest area McDonalds!!!

My students are HS, DH is Kindergarten. He always seems to run into the difficult :rolleyes1  ;) parents! Kids are fine---it's the adults!!!

We've also seen adults we know. Last trip to DL, a casual acquaintance of mine stepped on my foot going into the One Man's Dream movie! At least she had the manners to say sorry!

Did'nt happen to me,but i guy i used to work with took his family to D/L. He did'nt tell anyone where he was going. So there he is,getting off the Monorail, and who's standing the platform @ the D/L Hotel? The owner/boss with 'his' family, and he's thinking "OH NO" the one reason he went on vacation. :confused3 Of course they both had a good laugh and still talk about it years later.

It's happened to us too. :)

We ran into 2 coworkers the last time we were there in Feb. My husband is a firefighter and these guys are both on the same schedule. So apparently they also thought it'd be a good thing to do on their 4 days off. :) We ran into them while we were going to ride the new Monsters, Inc. ride.

We live in Phoenix and when we went to Disney World, ran into someone my husband works with! Also, ran into my cousins ex-hubby last year at Disneyland :sad2:

Every trip we take to DL (and we've done many trips) we run into people we know from home. It just wouldn't be a trip to DL without that coincidence!
