I have a a couple of questions you maybe able to answer for me.

1) In the new Atkins book, and in some of the other low carb websites it says that ratios should be about 65-70% fat, 5 % carbs, and 25 to 30% protien...Did you flollow that?

Dinner for me tonight was
16 oz of chicken
.20 cup of sour cream
.24 Mexican cheese
spices to make fajitas :)


snack
1 deviled egg (1 tablespoon mayo)
1 tablespoon heavy cream (diet coke float)

no veggies at all for me

comes out to 50% fat, 1% carb(4 carbs) and 49% protien. That was it for the day as I was not hungry...is it ok?

Second...

I fried the chicken in 1 tablespoon of olive oil...do I count the 1 tablespoon?

Please Mr. Atkins guru...????
 
1. Never even heard it before...
I don't think I personally am going to worry about it. I like simple atkins and it works.
2. Count it for what? Olive oil is zero carbs right? If you are checking fat I would say no.. chicken is not going to absorb a lot of the oil, since you didn't use any breading... I'm sure it is tiny bit but not enough to worry about.

you know what one of the big advantages of doing atkin's "my way" is glo?
You really don't have to keep track of ANY of this stuff...
If you are doing the trying to keep to 0 carbs thing...
It won't matter.
I just find it helps me not to bother even thinking about it.
 

so the menu above would pass the Alex test as acceptable? If so then I am not worrying anymore :)
 
absolutely!!!!
The idea is to think no carbs when it's time to eat! I don't know about you but I have WAY better things to do than to punch food choices into a computer. If you start adding in salad's and atkin's bars then you need to figure it out.
If you are on brutal atkins...forget about it!!
 
I think I might need to add my salads back but I'm staying away from the nuts, seeds, low carb bars and candy at least for a few more weeks.

I had read that you should have 70% fat but I can't remember where, though. I didn't know about the 5% carbs thing.
